The rookie has shown he can be a valuable contributor on both ends of the court when called upon, but his fantasy upside won't be high if he continues to play off the bench.       Advice: The Clippers needed someone to step up with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined in Game 6, and Ivica Zubac did what he could on both ends of the court. He finished the series with three double-doubles in six outings and scored in double digits each time while shooting a robust 60 percent from the field. Zubac isn't flashy and is not one of the most athletic big men in the league, but he gets the job done. He averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 boards per contest during the regular season.       Ivica Zubac logged 37 minutes in Friday’s Game 6 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 17 points (6-of-11 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 11 rebounds, and one assist.

      Advice: After recording double-doubles in the series’ first two games, Zubac did not get another until the finale on Friday. However, he did score in double figures in all six games, providing consistent production in that regard. While Zubac does not rank among the elite fantasy centers, he once again provided solid value in 2023-24. Exceeding his Yahoo ADP (120.2) in 8- and 9-cat formats, Big Zu finished the regular season as a top 100 player in the latter. Regardless of what happens with James Harden and Paul George this summer, Zubac will remain the unquestioned top option at the center position.       Paolo Banchero finished Friday’s Game 6 victory over the Cavaliers with 27 points (9-of-20 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

      Advice: With their backs against the wall, Banchero and the Magic stepped up to force a decisive Game 7. The All-Star forward led the way offensively while combining with Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs to make some playoff history. That trio became the third-youngest to score at least 20 points in the same playoff game, joining two separate Oklahoma City Thunder tandems (Durant/Harden/Westbrook and Durant/Ibaka/Westbrook). Orlando will need to win in Cleveland on Sunday to advance. Still, Banchero’s performance in Game 5 should inspire confidence that he can play at a high level on the road, as he struggled mightily with turnovers (15) in the series’ first two games.       Herro ended Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 15 points (6-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes.

      Advice: Herro was forced to embrace a more prominent role on offense due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck) in the series against the Celtics. While the numbers were decent across the board, he struggled badly in terms of efficiency and shooting percentages. Over the five games of the series, Herro made just 38.5 percent of his shots from the field and 34.9 percent of his three-pointers.       Advice: Lively was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, outplaying Daniel Gafford despite coming off the bench. The Mavericks have the luxury of being able to lean on both players equally, providing them flexibility when one is outplaying the other.       Dereck Lively II shot 5-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 123-93 win over the Clippers, finishing with 12 points, even rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in 25 minutes.

      Advice: Lively did not miss a shot in Dallas’ Game 5 rout, with that production being a byproduct of where he got his looks. Four of the rookie’s five makes from the field were dunks, with the fifth being a nine-footer. While there have been some injury-related hiccups, the tandem of Lively and Daniel Gafford (8/5/0/1/1 in 19 minutes) has been just what the doctor ordered for the Mavericks.       Ivica Zubac tallied 15 points (7-of-8 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 26 minutes in Wednesday’s 123-93 loss to the Mavericks.

      Advice: While he has reached double figures in points in all five games, Zubac’s influence on the boards has waned since Games 1 and 2. Having grabbed 27 rebounds in those contests, he produced 18 in Games 3 through 5. Add in Dallas’ ability to exploit the Clippers’ defensively in the two-man game, with Dereck Lively II receiving multiple lobs in Game 5, and this wasn’t as good a night for Zubac as the shooting accuracy would lead some to believe.     • Tyler Herro scores inefficient 15 points in rout
      Tyler Herro shot 6-of-19 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s Game 5 loss to the Celtics, recording a line of 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

      Advice: Miami was without Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. for Game 5, putting even more pressure on Herro to perform with the team’s season on the line. He struggled, as many guards do when dealing with Jrue Holiday. While he established new career-highs in points (20.8 per game), assists (4.5), and 3-pointers (3.1), injuries limited Herro’s fantasy value. Beginning the season with a Yahoo ADP of 68.9, he finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 90 in 9-cat, per-game value, according to Basketball Monster. If Herro can play 65-plus games, as he did during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, he’s capable of approaching top-60 fantasy value.
