    • Puts up 25 points in loss Friday
Durant had 25 points (8-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 42 minutes during Friday's 126-109 loss to Minnesota in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Durant bounced back from a subpar showing in Game 2, at least for his lofty standards, and he had a strong showing in Game 3, but once again, his contributions were not enough to lift the Suns to victory as Phoenix fell into an 0-3 deficit. Durant will need to be at his best if the Suns want to avoid the sweep in Game 4 on Sunday. He's averaging 24.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in the series. • Gets hot late in victory
Irving finished with 21 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 101-90 win over the Clippers in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Despite a sluggish start to the game, Irving delivered when it mattered, helping the Mavericks to an emphatic victory. Both he and Luka Doncic are at the peak of their powers at the moment. A repeat performance in Game 4 will see Dallas on the cusp of an impressive first-round victory. • Kyrie Irving scores 21 points despite slow start
Kyrie Irving struggled early on Friday but still finished with 21 points (8-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and three triples against the Clippers in Game 3.

Advice: Irving got off to an incredibly slow start in this game and entered halftime with just two points. He played well in both of the first two games of this series, but he didn’t get things going in Game 3 until after the break. His 19 second-half points were enough to allow Dallas to hang on and win this game despite a below average shooting night from Luka Doncic. They’ll look to take a 3-1 lead in the series in Game 4 on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • Daniel Gafford (back) active Friday vs. Clippers
Daniel Gafford (lower back soreness) has been upgraded from questionable to active for Friday’s Game 3 matchup between the Mavericks and Clippers.

Advice: Gafford is good to go despite missing Thursday’s practice. The Mavericks big man has struggled to produce against the Clippers so far and could take a back seat to Dereck Lively and Maxi Kleber if he struggles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:01 pm
    • Good to go Friday
Gafford (back) is available for Friday's Game 3 against the Clippers.

Advice: Gafford has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite dealing with back spasms. Gafford should start at center for the third straight game to begin the series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:53 pm
    • Present at shootaround
Gafford (back) was on the court and walking around during shootaround ahead of Friday's Game 3 versus the Clippers, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Gafford is officially listed as questionable Friday due to back spasms. The 24-year-old big man's availability will likely be determined shortly before tipoff at 8 pm ET. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 am
    • Jalen Brunson drops 39 points, 13 dimes in Game 3
Jalen Brunson accumulated 39 points (13-of-27 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), two rebounds, 13 assists, and three 3-pointers in 45 minutes in Thursday’s 125-114 loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: While the Knicks won the series’ first two games, they did so with Brunson struggling offensively. The supporting cast stepped up in those victories, and JB shined in a losing effort in Game 3. In addition to the 39 points, he dished out 13 assists and played 45 of a possible 48 minutes. No Knicks reserves reached double figures on Thursday, with Miles McBride (8/2/1/1 with two 3-pointers) leading the way. Getting Brunson back on track is a positive the Knicks can take into Game 4, which will be played on Sunday afternoon. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:49 pm
    • Tyrese Maxey tallies 25 points, seven assists
Tyrese Maxey finished Thursday’s Game 3 win over the Knicks with 25 points (9-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: After scoring 33 and 35 points in the series’ first two games, Maxey did not shoot the ball as well in Game 3. However, the winner of the NBA’s Most Improved Player award managed turnovers better than he did in the two losses in New York. Maxey committed just one turnover in Game 3 after tallying seven in Games 1 (three) and two (four). Even if the field-goal percentage isn’t always where it should be, Maxey is talented enough to compensate for that with increased production in other areas. Philadelphia will look to even the series at two games apiece on Sunday. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:37 pm

    • Deemed questionable for Friday
Gafford (back) is questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: The questionable tag on Gafford is not surprising, as the big man missed Thursday's practice due to his lower back problem. If he can't go Friday, then Dereck Lively and Maxi Kleber are candidates to receive increased playing time. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:38 pm
