    • Paolo Banchero pours in 39 points in Game 5 loss
      Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 39 points (14-of-24 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, four triples and five turnovers in a 104-103 loss to Cleveland in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: It may not have resulted in a win, but Banchero was fantastic in this game. He became the third-youngest player to score at least 39 points in a playoff game, with only LeBron James and Magic Johnson in front of him. That isn’t a bad list to be on, and they’ll need him to continue to play at this level if they want to win their next two games. They’ll head back to Orlando for Game 6 on Friday, where Banchero only scored nine points in the blowout win in Game 4. He’ll look to bring some of this scoring down to Florida.     • Donovan Mitchell leads Cavs with 28 points in win
      Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 28 points (9-of-23 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one triple in a 104-103 win over the Magic in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: After two poor performances in Orlando, Mitchell vowed to play better moving forward. He did just that, and while he didn’t have his best shooting night, he was able to lead the team in scoring and ice the game with two a pair of late free throws. They’ll have a chance to close out the series in Orlando in Game 6 on Friday, but Mitchell will have to be much better than he was in Games 3 and 4.     • Tyrese Maxey keeps 76ers alive with 46-point night
      Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 46 points (17-of-30 FGs), five rebounds, nine assists and seven 3-pointers in a 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: With Joel Embiid struggling, Maxey stepped up to lead the 76ers in this game. Even when it seemed like the game was over, Maxey kept them alive. They trailed by six points with 30 seconds left when Maxey converted a four-point play. Then he knocked down a deep three after Josh Hart split free throws to tie the game and force overtime. Maxey added five more points in the overtime period to extend the series and force a Game 6 in Philadelphia. This was the closest thing we’ve seen to Reggie Miller’s eight points in nine seconds, and the 76ers now have some life and momentum in this series. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:11 pm

      Allen (ribs) won't play in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Magic, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to a right rib contusion he suffered in Game 4. Isaac Okoro will replace him in the starting lineup, with Damian Jones and Tristan Thompson candidates to receive increased playing time off the bench.       Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) has been ruled out for Game 5 on Tuesday against the Magic, which will allow Isaac Okoro to start in his place.

      Advice: With Allen sidelined, Evan Mobley will shift over to center, with Okoro entering the starting unit. Mobley has had a solid series, but he’ll have to really step up with Allen out of the rotation. Tristan Thompson will likely also be forced into extra minutes behind Mobley.       Advice: Allen is on the injury report after scoring a series-high 21 points in Game 4. The Cavs big man’s production has dropped off since he recorded back-to-back double-doubles in Games 1 and 2. Tristan Thompson could be asked to step up and play a larger role if Allen is ruled out.       Reaves closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 19 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals over 34 minutes.

      Advice: Reaves scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs on another game-winning shot by Jamal Murray. After a slow start to the opening-round series, Reaves averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 35.0 minutes over the final three matchups, but Los Angeles won only one of those contests. The third-year wing appeared in all 82 regular-season games and averaged 15.9 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 32.1 minutes -- all career highs.       Advice: Allen is a late addition to the injury report, and his availability is in jeopardy for the critical Game 5 in Cleveland. The big man has arguably been the MVP for the Cavaliers in the opening-round series, as he's averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes over the first four matchups. After dominating Jonathan Isaac in the first two games, Orlando countered by moving Wendell Carter back into the starting lineup. While the Magic won the last two games with Carter as a starter, Allen has still been able to produce offensively, though his rebounding numbers haven't been as prolific as they were to start the series.       Austin Reaves provided a scoring boost on Monday with 19 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks and one triple against Denver.

      Advice: Reaves came alive in the fourth quarter and had nine points over the final six minutes of the game as the Lakers traded leads with the Nuggets. It didn’t end up being enough to keep their season alive, but Reaves was still able to turn in a solid stat line. This was year one of a four year deal that has been a bargain for the Lakers. That flexibility should allow the Lakers to reload this summer, with Reaves being one of the only players outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis that should be a safe bet to be wearing purple and gold again next season.
