    • Al Horford posts modest line in Game 5 victory
Al Horford played 23 minutes in Wednesday’s Game 5 win over the Heat, finishing with eight points (3-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one 3-pointers.

Advice: The Celtics were without Kristaps Porzingis, who suffered a strained right soleus muscle during Game 4. As was the case throughout the regular season, Horford moved into the starting lineup. The veteran big man didn’t have to do much, as Boston got off to a hot start and never looked back in their decisive win over the Heat. Ending this series in five games gets the Celtics additional rest, especially if the Cleveland/Orlando series goes the distance. With Porzingis unlikely to return before the conference finals (should Boston advance that far), Horford will serve as the starting center in the second round. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:10 pm
    • Starting sans Porzingis
Horford will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Heat.

Advice: Horford played 34 minutes in Game 4 with Kristaps Porzingis (calf) going down with an injury in the first half. With Porzingis sidelined Wednesday -- and likely longer -- Horford will step into the starting center role, where he's expected to remain until Porzingis returns. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:11 pm
    • Increased role Monday
Horford supplied seven points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 102-88 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Horford was forced into an increased role Monday, thanks to a calf injury to Kristaps Porzingis. While initial reports indicate that Porzingis has avoided anything serious, there is certainly a chance he will miss at least the next game. Should that be the case, Horford would likely slide into the starting lineup. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:41 pm
    • Al Horford starts second half in place of KP
Al Horford started the second half on Monday and contributed seven points (3-of-5 FGs), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one triple against the Heat.

Advice: Kristaps Porzingis exited just before halftime of this game with what was initially labeled a right calf strain. However, more recent reports indicate that it may be an Achilles injury, and he will undergo imaging on Tuesday. Horford didn’t contribute much in the box score, but even at his age, he is still more than capable of contributing at a high level until Porzingis is available to play again. If it is a serious injury for KP, Horford may be the starting center for the rest of their playoff run, with Luke Kornet likely filling out the backup minutes down low. Rotoworld Monday, 7:29 pm
