      Rudy Gobert shot 7-of-7 from the field and 4-of-7 from the foul line in Tuesday’s loss to the Nuggets, accounting for 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks in 40 minutes.

      Advice: Gobert recorded a solid overall stat line in Tuesday’s Game 5. Still, the conversations will be dominated by the fact that he was Nikola Jokic’s primary defender for most of the night. The three-time MVP went off for 40 points and 13 assists without committing a turnover, so Gobert’s numbers will only be a footnote. His offensive performance in Game 5 is encouraging because it happened with Mike Conley (Achilles) sidelined. Gobert didn’t miss a shot from the field, with six of his seven makes coming within the restricted area. Holiday connected on at least four threes for the first time this postseason, and he has now tallied at least 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists in two straight contests for Boston.       Advice: Holiday has been a disappointment this postseason, but he has been much better over their last two games. After scoring in double figures in just three of their first seven playoff games, Holiday averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block and 3.5 triples in their two games in Cleveland. He is playing like the star they acquired this summer to help push them over the edge, and if he continues to produce to this level, they won’t have any issues closing out the Cavs on Wednesday and advancing to the conference finals.       Advice: Holiday was aggressive from the get-go, looking to score from the opening tip. Although he ended with a modest 18 points (still a high for Holiday in this season's playoffs), the bulk of those came in the first half, keeping the Celtics on the front foot.       Jrue Holiday finished with 18 points (7-of-10 FG), eight rebounds, five assists, a block and three triples across 38 minutes in Saturday’s win over Cleveland.

      Advice: Holiday averaged 12.5 points per game in the regular season (fewest since his rookie campaign), and he scored in single figures in four of seven in the playoffs leading up to Saturday’s Game 3 victory. The 18 points are his most through eight games in this season’s playoffs, and though he hasn’t been much of a factor on offense, he’s been getting it done consistently as a defender and facilitator. He and the Timberwolves attempted to land a decisive blow early in Friday’s game but failed, and the reigning champions eventually pulled away. Neither Gobert nor Naz Reid (7/1/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 21 minutes) could do much with Nikola Jokic, who finished with a plus-30 rating. Gobert failed to reach double figures in both points and rebounds, not tallying 10 or more boards for the third time in the postseason and not crossing the double-digit scoring mark for the third time.
