    • Struggles from field Sunday
Towns posted 13 points (5-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 115-107 loss to the Nuggets in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Towns might have ended with a double-double, and his overall stat line looked decent despite the loss. Still, his shooting woes are impossible to overlook, especially in a game where the Timberwolves needed him to provide a spark on offense. Towns needs to be better offensively for the Wolves. Otherwise, he forces players such as Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley to handle bigger roles on offense, and that's not a recipe for success. Towns is averaging 18.5 points per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the field in the series, and he needs to shake off this woeful showing in Game 5 on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:37 am
    • Present for shootaround
Allen (ribs) was spotted taking part in the Cavaliers' morning shootaround but remains questionable for Monday's Game 4 matchup with the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals round, Carly Mascitti of News 5 Cleveland reports.

Advice: Allen has missed the past six games for Cleveland with a right rib contusion. He was mostly doing stationary shooting during his time on the court Monday, making it unclear if he'll be ready to put an end to his absence when the Cavaliers face the Celtics in Game 4. More clarity on Allen's status should arrive closer to the 7 p.m. ET tipoff. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:33 am
    • Karl-Anthony Towns can’t find his shot in Game 4
Karl-Anthony Towns accounted for 13 points (5-of-18 FG), 12 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a three-pointer across 38 minutes in Sunday’s 115-107 loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Towns scored at least 20 points in Games 1 and 2 of the semifinals in Denver, but he failed to eclipse 14 points at home in Games 3 and 4. Towns has been mostly deferential on offense through eight postseason games, averaging 18.5 points on just 11.5 shots per contest. Anthony Edwards has been doing the heavy lifting as a scorer, and Towns has been chipping in as a rebounder and secondary scoring option. He’ll need to be much more efficient than this in Game 5 on Tuesday if Minnesota hopes to reclaim the series lead. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:15 pm
    • Questionable once more
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Advice: Allen has missed six consecutive contests with bruised ribs despite being listed as questionable leading up to each contest. While he's been sidelined, Evan Mobley has slid to the center spot and Isaac Okoro has entered the starting lineup. Should that trend continue, Tristan Thompson would be lined up to fill the backup center role. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:47 pm
    • Jarrett Allen (ribs) questionable for Game 4 Mon.
Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Celtics.

Advice: While the Cavaliers have consistently listed Allen as questionable, he has not played since Game 4 of the team’s first-round series against Orlando. The Cavaliers will stick with the same rotation if he cannot play on Monday. Evan Mobley is the starting center, with Isaac Okoro filling the void in the starting lineup. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:35 pm
    • Jarrett Allen (ribs) out again Saturday for Game 3
Jarrett Allen will remain out for Saturday’s Game 3 against Boston due to a right rib contusion.

Advice: Allen has missed five straight postseason games, and he’ll extend that streak of absences to six on Saturday. Evan Mobley should continue to start at center, and Isaac Okoro will presumably remain with the first unit until Allen returns. Rotoworld Saturday, 5:08 pm
    • Undergoing offseason surgery
Carter will undergo surgery to stabilize the third metacarpal in his left hand, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday. Carter is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Advice: In simpler terms, Carter will have a procedure to fully fix his left hand -- the same hand he sustained a fractured middle finger on early this season -- and is expected to be ready for the 2024-25 campaign. Carter missed a month and a half after sustaining the injury (which required surgery) in November but was able to return and appear in 55 games (48 starts) overall. He's set for re-evaluation four weeks after the procedure. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:44 pm
    • Karl-Anthony Towns hits four 3-pointers, scores 14
Karl-Anthony Towns accumulated 14 points (4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Friday’s Game 3 loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: The good news for Towns is that he shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. The bad is that he attempted seven shots overall, which is inexcusable for an offensive talent of his caliber. Friday’s game was the first in which KAT failed to reach double figures since Game 2 of Minnesota’s first-round sweep of the Suns. While the Timberwolves could get away with that against Phoenix, the reigning champs are different. Towns needs to be more aggressive in Game 4 on Sunday night, with the Timberwolves still holding a 2-1 series lead. Rotoworld Friday, 9:43 pm
    • Leader from deep in Game 3 loss
Towns posted 14 points (4-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists over 33 minutes in Friday's 117-90 loss to the Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Towns didn't get much going offensively outside of connecting on a team-high mark from three, ending the contest as one of four players with a double-digit point total to go along with a handful of rebounds in a losing effort. Towns failed to reach the 15-point mark for just the second time this postseason, and he had scored at least 20 points in each of the first two games against Denver. Towns may have to come out in Game 4 looking for more opportunities offensively and displaying more aggressiveness if Minnesota wants to take a commanding 3-1 series advantage.
