Tatum totaled 16 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 118-84 victory over the Heat in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: There's no doubt that Tatum is the undisputed go-to player on offense for the Celtics, and the star forward can take over a game if needed every time the team needs him to do so. He was active on both ends of the court in the series against the Heat, however, recording four double-doubles in five games while also reaching the 20-point plateau four times. He averaged 21.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game against the Heat and will now aim to lead Boston in the Conference Semifinals, where the Celtics will take on either the Cavaliers or the Magic. Hachimura chipped in 15 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Hachimura scored in double figures for the first time during the opening-round series, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs by the Nuggets for a second consecutive season. From Feb. 9 through April 16, Hachimura averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals-plus-blocks in 31.4 minutes. He excelled as a starter during the regular season, but Hachimura's poor postseason may impact his role next season. He signed a three-year, $51 million deal with the Lakers last summer. Karl-Anthony Towns turned in 28 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four triples across 39 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Suns.

Advice: Towns had his best game of the series, and the timing was perfect for Minnesota. Anthony Edwards led the way with 40 points, but KAT was the Wolves’ next highest scorer, and he chipped in his second straight double-double. Towns averaged just 25 minutes in Games 1-3, but he saw increased playing time, while Rudy Gobert played only 25 minutes. Jayson Tatum played 38 minutes in Saturday’s 104-84 win over the Heat, tallying 22 points (6-of-16 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists, one block, and two 3-pointers.

Advice: While Tatum has scored at least 22 points in all three games, he’s been inconsistent regarding accuracy. He shot 50% from the field in Boston’s Game 2 loss but made fewer than 40% of his shots in Games 1 and 3 (both Celtics wins). Outside of the shooting, this was an efficient game for Tatum, who did not commit a turnover while recording his second double-double of the series. Derrick White also failed to record a turnover in Game 3, finishing with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double on Friday with 18 points (7-of-16 FGs), 13 rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers against the Suns in Game 3.

Advice: KAT dealt with some foul trouble early in this game, which limited him to just 24 minutes of playing time. However, he was still able to turn in an effective stat line. He has committed 12 fouls in three games despite averaging just 25 minutes per game. They’re still monitoring his minutes after his extended absence, but he should play more if he stays out of foul trouble. It hasn’t hurt them yet, but it isn’t something that he can continue to do in the next round, where they’ll likely face off against Denver, barring the first ever 3-0 comeback in NBA history.
