    • Pistons decline Evan Fournier’s team option
The Pistons will not pick up Evan Fournier’s $19 million team option.

Advice: Fournier was completely out of the rotation with the Knicks last season, but he ended up playing a decent-sized role for Detroit after the trade deadline. However, there was no chance that they were going to pay him $19 million next season. He’ll have a chance to start fresh, but it’s unlikely that he is relevant in fantasy hoops next season. • Team declines option
The Pistons have declined to pick up Fournier's $19 million team option, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Advice: This was the expected move, as Fournier was not expected to be a part of the Pistons' future plans at his price tag. The veteran wing was on the outside looking in on the Knicks' rotation last season before being dealt to Detroit prior to the deadline. He then averaged 7.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples across 18.7 minutes in 29 games with the team. It remains to be seen what type of opportunities will come his way in free agency. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:55 pm
    • Staying with Clippers for 2024-25
Tucker announced Friday that he is exercising his $11.54 million player option for the 2024-25 season, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Advice: Tucker was traded from the 76ers to the Clippers during the 2023-24 campaign. With Los Angeles, Tucker made 28 appearances, including seven starts, and averaged 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15.0 minutes. While the veteran forward is unlikely to receive a large role for the Clippers next season, he is set to stick around for at least one more year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:19 pm
    • Shams: P.J. Tucker exercises play option
P.J. Tucker has exercised his $11.5 million player option to remain with the Clippers, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Tucker was never going to get a better offer from another team, so it isn’t surprising that he picked up this option. It wouldn’t be shocking if they used his contract as trade filler, but regardless of where Tucker suits up, he won’t impact fantasy hoops. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:18 pm
    • Traded to Dallas
The Pistons traded Grimes (knee) to the Mavericks on Friday in exchange for Tim Hardaway and three second-round picks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: Grimes was traded from New York to Detroit in February, but he made just six appearances with his new team after being shut down due to a right knee injury. Over 51 total appearances during the regular season last year, he averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per game. He'll attempt to carve out a role off the bench in Dallas after the team cleared some cap space by trading Hardaway. However, Grimes could struggle to be a consistent contributor for last year's Western Conference champions. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 am
    • Jalen McDaniels dealt to SAC in multi-player deal
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jalen McDaniels was traded to the Kings for Sasha Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Advice: McDaniels logged just 10.8 minutes across 50 games for Toronto last season, but there’s a chance he will see an uptick in playing time for his new team as Keegan Murray’s primary backup at PF. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:35 pm
    • Headed to Sacramento
The Raptors traded McDaniels to the Kings in exchange for Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov, the No. 45 pick in 2024 NBA Draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft via Portland on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: During his first year in Toronto, McDaniels served as depth in the team's forward rotation. In 2023-24, he averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes across 50 appearances, including one start. However, the 25-year-old mightily struggled with his efficiency, posting 34.4/16.9/73.0 shooting splits. If McDaniels isn't able to drastically increase his offensive output, he will likely struggle to find minutes in Sacramento. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:35 pm
    • Lindy Waters III dealt to GSW for No. 52 pick
Lindy Waters III was traded to the Warriors for the 52nd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Waters III joined the Thunder in 2021, and he’s seen his playing time dwindle in each of the last two seasons since making his NBA debut. He should fill out a depth role for Golden State, but he’s unlikely to make a meaningful impact in the world of fantasy hoops next season. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:17 pm
    • AJ Griffin traded to Houston for 44th pick
AJ Griffin was traded to the Rockets for the 44th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Advice: The 16th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft logged nearly 20 minutes per game as a rookie, but his playing time was cut by more than half in Year 2. Griffin will have a tough time finding minutes in Houston’s rotation, and he’s off the radar in redraft fantasy hoops leagues. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:10 pm
