      Advice: Giddey played just 10 minutes in the loss, ending what has been a disappointing season for the young Australian. Having started the majority of the season, he was moved to the bench in recent games.     • Josh Giddey plays 11 minutes in series finale
      Josh Giddey shot 1-of-3 from the field in Saturday’s 117-116 loss to Dallas, accounting for two points, four rebounds, and one assist in 11 minutes.

      Advice: After playing well in the final three games of Oklahoma City’s four-game sweep of New Orleans, Giddey offered little value against the Mavericks. He played 17 minutes in the series opener and no more than 13 in any of the five games that followed. For Games 5 and 6, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault replaced Giddey in the starting lineup with Isaiah Joe due to the need for a floor spacer. The former lottery pick is eligible for a rookie-level extension this summer, but it’s fair to wonder if he’s the “odd man out” in Oklahoma City. Giddey, who had a Yahoo ADP of 58.9, finished the regular season ranked well outside the top 100. If he remains with the Thunder, he shouldn’t be selected with a top 100 pick.     • Chet Holmgren records 21/3/1/2 line in Game 6 loss
      Chet Holmgren finished Saturday’s Game 6 loss to the Mavericks with 21 points (9-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

      Advice: Despite scoring 21 points, Holmgren’s final game of the season wasn’t his best. More concerning than the 1-of-7 night from three was the rebounding, with the rookie only grabbing three. By comparison, Mavericks rookie Dereck Lively II grabbed 15 by himself. Holmgren’s struggles to rebound prompted Thunder coach Mark Daigneault to go with a bigger lineup down the stretch, with Jaylin Williams (6/2/2/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 18 minutes) joining the rookie in the frontcourt. Overall, Holmgren had an excellent rookie campaign, finishing second to Victor Wembanyama in Rookie of the Year voting and providing top-20 per-game value in 9-cat formats. Based on his Yahoo ADP, Chet was expected by many to be a 4th-round player. Those days are over; he should not get out of the third round in standard league drafts, and that’s being conservative.       Tyrese Haliburton logged 32 minutes in Friday’s 116-103 win over the Knicks, accumulating 15 points (6-of-12 FGs), six rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and three 3-pointers.

      Advice: Haliburton and the Pacers rebounded nicely from their 30-point loss in Game 5, pulling away from the Knicks during the second quarter and extending the series to a decisive seventh game. The All-Star point guard only attempted 12 shots in Game 6, but this was a night when it made more sense to attack whoever was defending Pascal Siakam. Haliburton was productive in the assist and blocked shot categories and shot 50% from the field.     • Woj: Porzingis likely to miss Games 1 and 2 of ECF
      According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Kristaps Porzingis (right soleus strain) is unlikely to be available for Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Injured during Game 4 of Boston’s first-round matchup with Miami, Porzingis missed Game 5 of that series and the second-round (five games) against Cleveland. On May 4, the 7-foot-3 big man said he was “slowly making progress” in his recovery, with the Celtics considering him to be week-to-week. Regardless of who the Celtics draw in the conference finals, Games 1 and 2 will be played on Tuesday (May 21) and Thursday (May 23) of next week. According to Wojnarowski, there is optimism that Porzingis will be available at some point in the series, with Boston taking on either New York or Indiana. Wojnarowski reports that Porzingis is making progress in his recovery, and there's some optimism that he could return at some point during the series.       Advice: Haliburton's five assists tied T.J. McConnell for most on the Pacers in Game 5. Haliburton failed to reach 20 points after doing so over the past three games, though he managed to contribute on the defensive end of the floor, recording two blocks for the first time this postseason.       Advice: After playing at a high level in Games 2 through 4, Haliburton was held in check on Tuesday. New York’s lineup change was a factor, with Miles McBride replacing Precious Achiuwa. Not only did this help the Knicks on offense, but it also allowed them to use McBride to pester Haliburton.
