      Maxey recorded 17 points (6-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Maxey was coming off a heroic performance in Game 5, scoring 46 points and making some clutch buckets to keep the 76ers alive in the series. However, he wasn't able to deliver in Game 6 and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. Maxey posted her lowest-scoring tally of the series in Thursday's loss, but he still averaged 29.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in the first round of the playoffs.       Tyrese Maxey shot 6-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks, accumulating 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: After going off for 46 points in Philadelphia’s Game 5 victory, Maxey had a tough night as the 76ers’ season ended on Thursday. He made some big plays down the stretch, but the slow start was one reason the Knicks led by as much as 22 points in the first quarter. A subpar Game 6 should not put too much of a damper on Maxey’s season, as he stepped up to become the emerging star Philadelphia believed it had when they finally traded James Harden. However, the point guard will be a restricted free agent this summer, and as Fat Joe famously said, “yesterday’s price is not today’s price.” Philadelphia should re-sign Maxey, but it will cost them more money than it would have if they’d extended his deal before the season began.       Carter closed Tuesday's 104-103 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with seven points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 33 minutes.

      Advice: Despite a quiet night offensively, Carter still had a big impact on the game, particularly on the boards and the defensive end.       Advice: Joel Embiid clearly wasn't 100 percent, so Maxey stepped up in a big way for the 76ers. He used his quickness to get whatever look he wanted on the court, and he hit a three-pointer near halfcourt to send this game to overtime.       Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 46 points (17-of-30 FGs), five rebounds, nine assists and seven 3-pointers in a 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: With Joel Embiid struggling, Maxey stepped up to lead the 76ers in this game. Even when it seemed like the game was over, Maxey kept them alive. They trailed by six points with 30 seconds left when Maxey converted a four-point play. Then he knocked down a deep three after Josh Hart split free throws to tie the game and force overtime. Maxey added five more points in the overtime period to extend the series and force a Game 6 in Philadelphia. This was the closest thing we’ve seen to Reggie Miller’s eight points in nine seconds, and the 76ers now have some life and momentum in this series. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:11 pm
       
    • Needs surgery, out for postseason
      Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries on his left foot and left wrist, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Bogdanovic was playing through ligament damage in his left wrist but suffered a left foot injury during his first minute in Game 4 and was already ruled out for Game 5. The sharpshooter was traded to the Knicks at the deadline and averaged 10.4 points in 19.1 minutes across his final 29 regular-season appearances. However, Bogdanovic struggled in limited action during the opening-round series against Philadelphia, as he averaged 8.0 points on 29.2 percent shooting in 16.3 minutes over the first three matchups.     • Shams: Bojan Bogdanovic (wrist) to undergo surgery
      According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries to his left wrist and left foot.

      Advice: Bogdanovic, who was already dealing with torn ligaments in his left (non-shooting) wrist, injured his left foot when Nicolas Batum fell onto it while diving for a loose ball during Game 4 on Sunday. The Knicks listed him on the injury report as having a left ankle contusion. Still, the report of surgery being needed indicates that the injury was more severe than initially believed. Miles McBride will play more as the Knicks look to close out the 76ers on Tuesday. Bogdanovic’s fantasy value took a hit, as an early-season injury limited him to 28 games with the Pistons before being traded to New York at the February deadline.       Russell closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt), one rebound and six assists in 39 minutes.

      Advice: Russell finished the opening-round series shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep. He had a pair of standout performances, but his overall production was too inconsistent. It was a disappointing end to what was a solid season for the veteran point guard.
