    • Woj: Nets acquire Bojan Bogdanovic, draft picks
      According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets have acquired Bojan Bogdanovic and multiple draft picks from the Knicks in exchange for Mikal Bridges.

      Advice: Bogdanovic’s salary for 2024-25 was not fully guaranteed before this deal; that would have to change to make the trade work. More critical for Brooklyn is the draft capital they’ve received: four unprotected first-round picks, another first-rounder via Milwaukee, an unprotected first-round pick swap, and a second-round pick. Given the picks that Brooklyn surrendered in prior trades, restocking the coffers was essential for lead executive Sean Marks.       The Nets traded Bridges to the Knicks in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic (foot), four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick from the Bucks, and unprotected pick swap and a second-round pick on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

      Advice: Bridges will head to the Knicks after being traded from Phoenix to Brooklyn in a package for Kevin Durant in 2022-23. Last season, Bridges averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.8 minutes across 82 appearances, all of which were starts. In New York, Bridges will likely start at one of the forward spots, especially if the team is unable to retain OG Anunoby in free agency. Bridges is one of the league's most effective three-and-D wings, has displayed impressive availability throughout his career, and has a good relationship with former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart.       According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets are trading Mikal Bridges to the Nets in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and multiple future draft picks.

      Advice: Well, add another Villanova alum to the Knicks roster. Bridges is reportedly headed from Brooklyn to Manhattan in a deal that will cost the Knicks a significant amount of draft capital. In addition to Bogdanovic, the Nets will receive four unprotected firsts from New York, another first via Milwaukee, and a second-round pick. The Nets will also have an unprotected pick swap at their disposal. Bridges’ fantasy value took a hit this season as the marquee offensive option, and he’s been at his best when able to play off of a star. How valuable he is will depend on whether or not the Knicks can also re-sign OG Anunoby.       According to Marc Stein, Detroit has emerged as a “potential trade destination” for Tim Hardaway Jr.

      Advice: A fixture in the Mavericks’ bench rotation throughout the regular season, Hardaway did not see much action as Dallas made its run to the NBA Finals. With one year remaining on his contract and the Mavericks needing to free up money to re-sign Derrick Jones Jr., it makes sense that THJ would be the subject of trade rumors. And based on comments made on social media by his father (which have since been deleted), it appears Hardaway is ready to move on, provided he has a more significant role at his next stop. During his introductory press conference, Pistons lead executive Trajan Langdon said he’s open to using the team’s cap space to take on contracts, provided future draft assets are attached.     • Giddey hopes to make life easy for new teammates
      During his introductory press conference, Bulls guard Josh Giddey said his responsibility with his new team is to “make the game easy for everybody else.”

      Advice: The writing was effectively on the wall for Giddey, as his role diminished during the postseason. His trade from Oklahoma City to Chicago was unsurprising, and the change of scenery may ensure the 2021 lottery pick has a marquee role moving forward. Giddey said Thunder brass wanted to move him into a backup role. While that may have increased usage, Giddey’s playing time likely would have decreased. “And I just said to [Thunder lead executive Sam Presti], at this point in my career, I’m 21 years old, it wasn’t something I was overly eager to do,” Giddey said on Tuesday. "(Presti) completely understood. Throughout the whole process, we were open and honest with each other. And I said to him, ‘Look, coming off the bench at this point in my career is not something I’m trying to do and take a reserve role.’ He got it. We worked together through the whole process. He got me to a great spot. I’m very, very excited to be here in Chicago.” Depending on what the Bulls roster looks like in the fall, the trade should raise Giddey’s fantasy ceiling after struggling with his role in Oklahoma City last season.       According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, Paul George is seeking a four-year deal in free agency.

      Advice: Stein reports that George would prefer to return to the Clippers, but the team is more inclined to offer a shorter-term deal. Wherever he lands, the veteran, 34-year-old star is in search of security. When available, he’s an elite, two-way talent, but availability has been a major concern since he arrived in LA.       Antetokounmpo (calf) is out for Tuesday's Acropolis Tournament game against Montenegro, Harris Stavrou of Sport24 reports.

      Advice: Antetokounmpo will have another chance to suit up Thursday when Greece faces the Bahamas. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see the NBA superstar sit out the exhibition tournament entirely and focus on being as close to 100 percent as possible for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which begins July 2.       The Celtics announced Tuesday that Porzingis (leg) will undergo surgery in the coming days which will force him to miss the Olympics with Latvia.

      Advice: Surgery was inevitable, but Porzingis hoped to delay it until after the Olympics. More clarity on a timeline for the recovery process likely won't be known until after the procedure.
