      Advice: Siakam was remarkably efficient during Friday's win, and even though Tyrese Haliburton grabbed most of the headlines with his 35-point effort, Siakam's impact on offense can't be overlooked. The star big man could be in line for another solid showing in Game 4 of the series Sunday, as the Knicks are extremely depleted in the frontcourt while missing key defensive contributors such as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring).     • Rudy Gobert scores six points in return Friday
      Rudy Gobert shot 3-of-5 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Minnesota’s Game 3 loss to the Nuggets, finishing with six points, four rebounds, and one assist in 27 minutes.

      Advice: After missing Game 2 to be present for the birth of his first child, Gobert was back in the lineup for Game 3. He and the Timberwolves attempted to land a decisive blow early in Friday’s game but failed, and the reigning champions eventually pulled away. Neither Gobert nor Naz Reid (7/1/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 21 minutes) could do much with Nikola Jokic, who finished with a plus-30 rating.       Michael Porter Jr. recorded a line of 21 points (6-of-10 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes in Friday’s Game 3 win over the Timberwolves.

      Advice: After scoring 20 points in Game 1, Porter had a brutal Game 2. He wasn’t the only Nuggets player who needed to redeem himself in Game 3, and MPJ came through with timely perimeter shooting. He’s scored at least 20 points in six of his last seven playoff games, and he finished Game 3 one blocked shot shy of his third straight full stat line. Also shooting the ball well from three for Denver was Aaron Gordon, who was 3-of-4 from deep and finished with 13 points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 33 minutes. Given the amount of attention Minnesota has paid Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, there will be opportunities for Porter and Gordon to flourish.       Advice: Porter provided a nice lift offensively for Denver in its first win of the conference semifinals, leading all Nuggets in threes made while ending as one of three players with 20 or more points in Game 3. Porter had a bounce-back performance after failing to reach double figures in scoring in Game 2, and he has now posted 20 or more points in two of the three games against Minnesota.       Advice: Gobert returned in Game 3 after missing the previous contest due to the birth of his child, putting forth a quiet outing in Minnesota's first loss of the postseason. Gobert failed to reach double figures in both points and rebounds, not tallying 10 or more boards for the third time in the postseason and not crossing the double-digit scoring mark for the third time.       Pascal Siakam amassed 26 points (9-of-14 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one block, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes in Friday’s 111-106 win over the Knicks.

      Advice: Having struggled from the foul line during these playoffs, Siakam needed a night like Friday in the worst way. He made seven of his nine attempts in Game 3 while also shooting 64.3% from the field. Siakam hasn’t looked comfortable at the foul line, but that’s an area where he has the potential to be productive with the Knicks playing without OG Anunoby (hamstring). With OG unlikely to play in Game 4 on Sunday, that could be another game in which Spicy P plays to the level the Pacers expected when they acquired him from Toronto earlier this season.       Advice: Pritchard once again provided a spark off the Celtics bench in Thursday's contest, leading all Boston bench players in scoring and assists while ending as one of five Celtics in double figures in scoring in a losing effort. Pritchard has had a strong conference semifinals series through two games, reaching double figures in both games while playing at least 20 minutes off the bench in both contests. It will be key for the Celtics to get contributions from Pritchard and the rest of the bench this series, and we will likely continue to see Pritchard earn a large chunk of minutes on the second unit.
