      Nikola Jokic provided 35 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals, a block and a three-pointer across 39 minutes in Sunday’s victory over Minnesota.

      Advice: Joker led his team in scoring and finished with his most points of this postseason run. He was a bit light on the peripheral contributions (especially for his lofty standards), but Jokic was still masterful across the board as he led his team to a much-needed win to even up the series with Minnesota. Jokic and Co. dropped their first two games of this series at Ball Arena, and after two road wins, they should be fired up for Tuesday’s home date with the Timberwolves.     • Nears triple-double in Game 3 win
      Jokic notched 24 points (10-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and three steals over 38 minutes in Friday's 117-90 win over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Jokic did a little bit of everything for Denver in a much-needed Game 3 win on the road, leading all players in Friday's contest in rebounds, assists and blocks while adding a team-high-tying trio of steals and concluding as one of three Nuggets with 20 or more points. Jokic, who ended one dime shy of a triple-double, tallied his second straight double-double and has posted at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in every game of the conference semifinals thus far.       Nikola Jokic tallied 24 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, three blocks, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes in Friday’s 117-90 win over Minnesota.

      Advice: Many pundits wanted to see an “MVP caliber” performance from Jokic in Game 3 and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player delivered on Friday. The Joker finished one assist shy of a triple-double while recording a full stat line with six “stocks.” Jokic thoroughly outplayed the Minnesota big men, with Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid combining for 13 points, six rebounds, and no blocked shots. He’ll look to produce another effort of this caliber in Game 4 on Sunday, as Minnesota still holds a two games to one lead. Rotoworld Friday, 9:16 pm
       
    • Struggles badly once again
      Giddey closed Thursday's 119-110 loss to the Mavericks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals with eight points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds over 11 minutes.

      Advice: Giddey's minutes continue to decrease with each passing game, and it wouldn't be surprising if he moves to a bench role ahead of Game 3 given how much he's struggled on both ends of the court. He delivered good numbers against the Pelicans, but in the two outings against Dallas, he's averaging 5.0 points while shooting 40 percent from the floor across 14 minutes.     • Josh Giddey limited to 11 minutes in Game 2 loss
      Josh Giddey played 11 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, accounting for eight points (3-of-6 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) and two rebounds.

      Advice: If the first two games of this series are any indication, this may not be the series for Giddey. After logging 17 minutes in Tuesday’s Game 1 victory, he played 11 in Game 2, with Aaron Wiggins starting the third quarter. Wiggins, who finished with nine points, two rebounds, one block, and one 3-pointer, can serve as another floor spacer to open up driving lanes for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams. Giddey, whom Mavericks center Daniel Gafford sometimes defended, does not possess that ability. Don’t be surprised if Giddey continues to lose minutes to Wiggins and Cason Wallace (six points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 21 minutes) moving forward.       Nikola Jokic was named winner of the KIA NBA Most Valuable Player award.

      Advice: Jokic winning the award, the third of his career, is unsurprising. The 7-footer from Serbia has won the award three times in the last four seasons, finishing second the one time he did not (2023). During the regular season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.1 3-pointers per game, recording 25 triple-doubles. Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dallas’ Luka Doncic rounded out the top three in the voting. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo finished fourth, with Jalen Brunson coming in fifth.       Advice: Jokic can change a game by himself at any point of a contest and is dominant enough to carry Denver to victory on a regular basis, but he hasn't been able to do it in the first two games of the current series. The two-time MVP winner is averaging 27.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game through seven playoff contests. While he remains an absolute stud in fantasy regardless of what happens with the Nuggets as a team, he needs his teammates to take a step forward to avoid an early exit in their quest to win back-to-back NBA titles.       Nikola Jokic finished Monday’s 106-80 loss to the Timberwolves with 16 points (5-of-13 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), 16 rebounds, eight assists, and one blocked shot in 39 minutes.

      Advice: Jamal Murray (calf) isn’t playing at full strength, and Minnesota was playing without Rudy Gobert on Monday. With the Nuggets having dropped Game 1, they needed an elite performance from Jokic. While he did finish two assists shy of a triple-double, they did not get that from the Joker. He committed four turnovers, but the shooting (5-of-13 FGs) was especially concerning. Minnesota had some success during Game 1 using Karl-Anthony Towns or Naz Reid on Jokic, with Gobert serving as the “free safety.” The Timberwolves could not do that in Game 2, but they successfully defended Jokic straight up.     • Franz Wagner endures brutal Game 7 performance
      Franz Wagner shot 1-of-13 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s 106-94 loss to the Cavaliers, scoring six points with six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 34 minutes.

      Advice: Playing in the biggest game of his brief NBA career, as were many of his Magic teammates, Wagner struggled mightily on Sunday afternoon. He could not make anything happen offensively, missing all five of his 3-point attempts while shooting 1-of-8 from two. Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro certainly deserves some credit for that, but this performance was a severe departure from the norm for Wagner. Based on the Yahoo ADP (66.6), 2023-24 went as expected for Franz, who finished the regular season as a 6th-round player in 8- and 9-cat formats. Sunday wasn’t a good way for him to go out, but Wagner will be one of Orlando’s solid building blocks moving forward.
