      According to Marc Stein, Detroit has emerged as a “potential trade destination” for Tim Hardaway Jr.

      Advice: A fixture in the Mavericks’ bench rotation throughout the regular season, Hardaway did not see much action as Dallas made its run to the NBA Finals. With one year remaining on his contract and the Mavericks needing to free up money to re-sign Derrick Jones Jr., it makes sense that THJ would be the subject of trade rumors. And based on comments made on social media by his father (which have since been deleted), it appears Hardaway is ready to move on, provided he has a more significant role at his next stop.       According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, there have been “no productive discussion between the Warriors and [Klay] Thompson or his representatives.”

      Advice: Slater also notes that “Talks are essentially frozen. With free agency now less than 10 days away, Thompson’s exit from the only franchise he has ever known feels closer and more probable than ever before.” It’s not a surprising update, as rumors of Klay’s move away from the Warriors have been in full force for months. Thompson has been linked to the Magic as a potential landing spot, but according to Slater, there’s been “no traction.” As we approach free agency, it’s unclear where Thompson will play next season, but it’s becoming clearer that it won’t be in Golden State.       Advice: Monk continues to recover from a knee injury, but that hasn't stopped him from reaching an agreement with the Kings. The sharpshooter averaged career-high marks in points (15.4) and assists (5.1) per game en route to finishing second in the 2023-24 Sixth Man of the Year award voting. Even though Monk was expected to be a sought-after player in the open market, instead, he chose to sign with the Kings and is expected to make the deal official once the league year begins July 1.       According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Malik Monk intends to sign a four-year, $78 million contract to remain with the Kings.

      Advice: One of the NBA’s best sixth-men during his two seasons with the Kings, Monk has reportedly decided to remain in Sacramento and not test free agency. Despite suffering a sprained right MCL in late March, Monk still finished second in NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting after averaging 15.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 2.1 3-pointers in 26.0 minutes per game. Making 70 appearances, Monk was an 11th-round player in 8-cat formats. Depending on what the Kings do with starters Kevin Huerter and Harrison Barnes, who have been the subject of trade rumors, Monk could be even more valuable to fantasy managers in 2024-25.       According to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Monte Poole, league sources believe Klay Thompson is seeking at least a three-year deal.

      Advice: The Warriors’ “big three” era of Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green may end this summer, as the former is set to hit unrestricted free agency. While a max contract is undoubtedly off the table, the veteran shooting guard is reportedly looking for at least a three-year deal. Thompson is another year removed from a stretch in which he missed two consecutive seasons due to knee and Achilles tendon injuries, but his production dropped considerably in 2023-24. Landing with a team that needs to add 3-point shooting to its starting lineup would boost Thompson’s fantasy value, but the trick is finding that spot.
