• Goes down swinging
Towns ended Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals with 28 points (9-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 38 minutes.

Advice: Despite putting up his best game of the series Thursday, Towns' efforts weren't enough to avoid defeat. The 28-year-old big man tied Anthony Edwards for a team-high 28 points and led Minnesota in rebounding. Towns will finish the Western Conference Finals averaging 19.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 33.2 minutes. He also struggled mightily with his efficiency, shooting just 37.9 percent from the field and 24.2 percent from three across the five games. Rotowire.com Today, 1:24 pm
  • Mike Conley posts 7/4/2/2 line in Game 5 loss
Mike Conley recorded a stat line of seven points (2-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes in Thursday’s 124-103 loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Dealing with a strained right soleus muscle throughout the conference finals, Conley only played 21 minutes on Thursday. The nature of Game 5 had much to do with that, as Dallas blew things wide open during the first quarter and did not look back. This was a rough end for a veteran point guard who played in 76 games after injuries limited him to 24 the season prior. Conley’s scoring average decreased by over two points but still provided top 75 per-game value in 9-cat formats. Expecting that level of production from him would be unrealistic, especially since he’ll turn 37 in October, but Conley is undoubtedly capable. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • Karl-Anthony Towns posts 28/12/2/1 line in Game 5
Karl-Anthony Towns shot 9-of-20 from the field and 9-of-10 from the foul line in Thursday’s 124-103 loss to Dallas, tallying 28 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Advice: Towns may have tied for the team lead in scoring, but he had another rough night from three in Minnesota’s final game. After shooting 4-of-5 from three in Game 4, KAT was 1-of-6 on Thursday night. He shot 24.2% from three for the series and 37.9% from the field overall. A player many expected to approach top 25 fantasy value before the season began, Towns was a 4th-round player in 9-cat formats. While the chemistry between KAT and Rudy Gobert improved, the continued emergence of Anthony Edwards factored into the former’s fantasy production. As long as Minnesota keeps Towns and Gobert together, the former will have a lower fantasy ceiling than he did pre-trade. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:16 pm
  • Good to go for Game 5
Conley (Achilles) will play in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against Dallas on Thursday.

Advice: For the seventh game in a row, Conley will play through his right soleus strain. With Minnesota facing elimination with a loss, it's not a surprise to see Conley power through his injury again. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:53 pm
  • Mike Conley (calf) available for Game 5 Thursday
Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is available for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.

Advice: As expected, Conley is all set to play on Thursday night. Look for the veteran point guard to play a little over 30 minutes, as this has been the case throughout the series. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:44 pm
  • Mike Conley (calf) questionable for Game 5 Thurs.
Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.

Advice: Conley is once again on the preliminary injury report, but the expectation is that he will play in Game 5. The Timberwolves point guard has not missed a game this series, playing at least 31 minutes in all four games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:56 pm
  • Questionable for Game 5
Conley (Achilles) is questionable for Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Advice: Conley continues to deal with a right soleus strain, but he's been able to suit for six straight matchups after missing Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals versus Denver. He's averaged 13.5 points, 4.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 32.3 minutes per game over the first four games versus Dallas and is unlikely to face limitations if he's cleared to play again Thursday. • Comes close to double-double
Conley amassed 14 points (5-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 105-100 win over Dallas in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Conley struggled a bit from three-point range, but he excelled in other areas, mainly as a playmaker and on the defensive end, as his four steals set the tone for Minnesota when it comes to disrupting the passing lanes. Conley has been hampered by an Achilles injury throughout the series, but he's still averaging 13.5 points, 4.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in this Western Conference Finals. • Improves in Game 4
Towns closed with 25 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 105-100 victory over the Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Towns had been heavily criticized due to his shooting struggles throughout the series, but he bounced back in a big way Tuesday, missing just one of his five attempts from beyond the arc and just four of his 17 shots overall when including free throws. One game won't erase all his struggles, but this was certainly a step in the right direction. Towns will need to produce at this rate again if Minnesota is going to win Game 5 on Thursday to extend the series. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:57 am
