  • Karl-Anthony Towns’ struggles continue in Game 3
    Karl-Anthony Towns shot 5-of-18 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line in Sunday’s 116-107 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists in 38 minutes.

    Advice: Towns is mired in a brutal slump at the worst possible time. With Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki in attendance, the self-proclaimed “best shooting big man of all time” missed all eight of his 3-point attempts in Game 3. And Towns is just 4-of-32 from beyond the arc over his last five games. Even with Jaden McDaniels (15/1/0/1 with three 3-pointers) and Mike Conley shooting the ball well, Minnesota’s two stars (KAT and Anthony Edwards) have been thoroughly outplayed by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.   • Anthony Edwards records 26/9/9/2 line on Sunday
    Anthony Edwards played 43 minutes in Sunday’s 116-107 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 26 points (11-of-24 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.

    Advice: Edwards gave Minnesota a much-needed spark during the third quarter, shooting 5-of-10 from the field and scoring ten points. However, he went quiet in the fourth, only attempting three shots (making two) and appearing tired on both ends of the floor. With Karl-Anthony Towns struggling, Edwards shouldered an even heavier workload than usual. With Dallas having Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to call on, that’s a losing proposition for Minnesota.   • PJ Washington scores 16 in Game 3 comeback win
    PJ Washington finished Sunday’s win over Minnesota with 16 points (5-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists, and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

    Advice: Washington hasn’t been as prolific offensively as he was in the first four games of the Western Conference Semifinals, but he has remained a critical supplementary option. After missing all four of his 3-point attempts in Game 2, the former Hornet hit two in Game 3, including a crucial corner three with 3:38 remaining that gave Dallas the lead for good. Both of Dallas’ trade deadline additions have been huge for them, turning the team into a genuine title contender. Daniel Gafford added five points, three rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 29 minutes. Dallas will look to close out Minnesota on Tuesday. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:00 pm
     
  • Carries Boston to Game 3 win
    Tatum contributed 36 points (12-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 7-11 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and one steal in 44 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 victory over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

    Advice: Tatum came through every time the Celtics needed him in this hard-fought Game 3 victory. Aside from leading Boston in scoring, he also finished two assists away from recording a triple-double. Tatum has been improving with each passing round and has been on an absolute tear of late, surpassing the 30-point mark in four of his last six appearances while averaging 31.7 points per game in the current series against Indiana.   • Pascal Siakam accounts for 22 points, six assists
    Pascal Siakam shot 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Saturday’s 114-111 loss to the Celtics, scoring 22 points with three rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 36 minutes.

    Advice: The players who were supposed to step up in Tyrese Haliburton’s absence did so, with Siakam being one of four Pacers to score at least 22 points in Game 3. The issue was that no one else scored more than four points as Indiana let an 18-point lead slip away. Siakam could be in a similar spot on Monday for Game 4, as Haliburton (hamstring) isn’t a lock to be available. Regardless of the Pacers point guard’s health, Siakam will be heavily involved in the offensive attack as a scorer and playmaker. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:43 pm
     
  • Jaylen Brown tallies 24 points, full line Saturday
    Jaylen Brown accumulated 24 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Pacers.

    Advice: Boston now holds a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, as they erased an 18-point deficit on Saturday night. Brown and Jayson Tatum combined to score 60 points on 22-of-41 shooting from the field, and Al Horford chipped in with 23 points of his own. JB7 has proven to be a tough matchup for Indiana, as he’s averaged 30.0 points per game on 52.3% shooting from the field in this series. Brown and the Celtics will look to close out the series on Monday. And based on Boston nearly climbing out of a 0-3 hole in last season’s conference finals, they’re unlikely to take their foot off the gas. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:25 pm

    Jayson Tatum played 44 minutes in Saturday’s 114-111 win over the Pacers, accumulating 36 points (12-of-23 FGs, 7-of-11 FTs), 10 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, two blocks, and five 3-pointers.

    Advice: Tatum was outstanding in Game 3, as the Celtics rallied back from 18 down to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. He’s scored 36 points in two of the series’ first three games, but Saturday’s effort was the first this postseason in which Tatum also shot at least 50% from the field. Boston will look to close out the series on Monday night, and the Pacers could once again be without Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring). Rotoworld Saturday, 8:13 pm
     
  • Shooting woes continue
    Edwards produced 21 points (5-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one block across 40 minutes during Friday's 109-108 loss to the Mavericks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

    Advice: Edwards has been struggling with his shot in recent games, and he hasn't been able to break out of the slump that seems to be affecting him since the Game 7 win over the Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals. Edwards has shot a combined 11-for-33 in the first two games of the series against the Mavericks, and he may need to bounce back if Minnesota wants to have a shot to steal at least one game in Dallas.   • Swats five shots in win
    Gafford amassed 16 points (8-10 FG, 0-2 FT), five rebounds and five blocks over 21 minutes during Friday's 109-108 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

    Advice: Gafford was nearly perfect from the field and made his presence felt defensively, recording three or more blocks for the third time across his last eight playoff contests and tying his postseason-best mark in that category. Gafford's two-way play has been massive for Dallas against a frontcourt loaded with size. He's averaging 11.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game over his last five contests.
