  • Payton Pritchard chips in 16 points off bench
    Payton Pritchard provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (5-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers against Cleveland on Tuesday.

    Advice: Pritchard played a decent-sized role off the bench in the first round, but he didn’t make a significant impact like he did in this game. However, he kicked off this series with a solid performance as a reserve, and he wasn’t the only one. Luke Kornet, who has filled in as the backup center behind Al Horford, collected 10 rebounds and two blocks. Pritchard and Kornet should both continue to play important roles off the bench, but it is unlikely that either contributes in the box score to the level that they did in this game.   • Derrick White knocks down seven triples in Game 1
    Derrick White lit up the Cavaliers with 25 points (9-of-16 FGs), one rebound, five assists and seven triples in Game 1 on Tuesday.

    Advice: White was solid in the first half of this game, but he caught fire in the third, scoring 14 of his 25 points in the period. White has been arguably the best player for the Celtics during this postseason, and this was his third straight game with at least 25 points. Boston is one of the deepest teams in the league, and White has stepped up with Kristaps Porzingis injured.   • Donovan Mitchell scores 33 points in blowout loss
    Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 33 points (12-of-25 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and four triples in a 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 on Tuesday.

    Advice: This was Mitchell’s third straight game with at least 30 points, but it didn’t end up mattering in the end. Mitchell did most of his scoring in the first quarter (14) and third quarter (16), but he didn’t add much in the second and fourth quarter, which lined up with Cleveland’s offensive struggles. Mitchell was able to provide plenty of offense, but he’ll need help if the Cavaliers want to pull off the upset in this series.     Advice: Doncic has been upgraded from probable to available Tuesday despite dealing with a sprained right knee. Doncic averaged 34.0 points, 13.5 assists, 11.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 38.5 minutes across his two appearances against the Thunder in the regular season.     Luka Doncic (right knee sprain) will play in Game 1 against the Thunder on Tuesday.

    The NBA announced Tuesday that Murray will be fined $100,000 but won't be suspended after throwing a heat pad and towel on the court during Monday's Game 2 loss to Minnesota, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Murray tallied just eight points in Monday's 106-80 loss to the Timberwolves, and threw a heat pad and towel on the court in frustration.   • Shams: Jamal Murray won’t be suspended for Game 3
    Jamal Murray will be fined for throwing a towel and heat pad on the court during Game 2 against Minnesota on Monday, but he will not be suspended, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

    Advice: Murray had two separate instances of throwing items from the bench on the court during the Game 2 loss, but it won’t result in him missing any time during this series. A substantial fine should be enough for him to not throw anything else on the court, but if it happens again, a suspension wouldn’t be surprising.     Tyrese Haliburton (lower back spasms) is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s Pacers-Knicks matchup.
