    • Poor shooting display Tuesday
Garland had 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Garland is in line for a rough matchup in this series, as he'll have to deal with two excellent defenders in Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, so his Game 1 display is not entirely surprising. He didn't have his best performances in the first-round series against the Magic either, and he's averaging just 14.8 points and 5.4 assists per game through eight playoff appearances. In fact, Garland has failed to surpass the 15-point mark in six of his eight playoff outings, a clear downgrade after averaging 18.0 points per contest during the regular season. • Kyrie Irving leads Dallas with 20 points in loss
Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 20 points (7-of-14 FGs), one rebound, three assists, two steals, one block and three triples in a 117-95 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 on Tuesday.

Advice: After scoring just six points in the first half, Irving once again turned it on for the second half and scored nine points in the third, which included a contested 3-pointer just before the buzzer. He was consistently better in the second half during their first round series against the Clippers, but his production in the second half of this game wasn’t enough to secure a win on the road. If Irving can put together two solid halves in Game 2, they may be able to steal a game on the road and head to Dallas with the series tied. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Won't be suspended
The NBA announced Tuesday that Murray will be fined $100,000 but won't be suspended after throwing a heat pad and towel on the court during Monday's Game 2 loss to Minnesota, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Murray tallied just eight points in Monday's 106-80 loss to the Timberwolves and threw a heat pad and towel on the court in frustration. However, the star guard will be available for Game 3 on Friday, as Denver will travel to Minnesota looking to avoid a 3-0 deficit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:28 pm
    • Shams: Jamal Murray won’t be suspended for Game 3
Jamal Murray will be fined for throwing a towel and heat pad on the court during Game 2 against Minnesota on Monday, but he will not be suspended, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Murray had two separate instances of throwing items from the bench on the court during the Game 2 loss, but it won’t result in him missing any time during this series. A substantial fine should be enough for him to not throw anything else on the court, but if it happens again, a suspension wouldn’t be surprising. They’ll head to Minnesota down 2-0, but they’ll at least have their star point guard as they try to climb out of the hole. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:19 pm
    • Cold shooting in Game 2 defeat
Murray finished with eight points (3-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 106-80 loss to Minnesota in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Murray has struggled badly in the postseason when it comes to his efficiency despite the fact he had some good moments in the series against the Lakers. However, Monday's game was a new low for him, as he missed 15 of his 18 shots and didn't reach the 10-point plateau for the first time since Feb. 29. Murray needs to bounce back if the Nuggets want to have a shot at turning things around. He's averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting just 28.1 percent from the floor in his first two appearances in the series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:48 am
    • Efficient in Game 2 victory
Edwards notched 27 points (11-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-7 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 106-80 win over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Edwards didn't repeat the 43-point performance from Game 1, but he was highly efficient in this one and played a prominent role in the victory while also ending just three assists away from a double-double. Edwards has been almost unstoppable since the start of the playoffs and is averaging 32.3 points per game while keeping the Timberwolves undefeated through six postseason contests so far. • Jamal Murray (calf) struggles in Game 2 blowout
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) shot 3-of-18 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Monday’s 106-80 loss to the Timberwolves, finishing with eight points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 36 minutes.

Advice: Murray had a rough night at the office, as Denver fell into an 0-2 hole. He struggled with his shot throughout and was also visibly frustrated with the officials. Things reached a head during the second quarter when an angry Murray threw a heat pack onto the court. No technical foul was called at the time, but the NBA is likely to hand down a punishment of some kind before Game 3 on Friday. The three days off come at a good time for Murray, who is in serious need of some time to rest his ailing calf. Rotoworld Monday, 10:09 pm
    • Anthony Edwards tallies 27 points, seven assists
Anthony Edwards shot 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from the foul line in Monday’s Game 2 win over the Nuggets, accumulating 27 points, two rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Timberwolves were without Rudy Gobert on Monday, as he was back in Minnesota for the birth of his first child. And it didn’t matter because Denver still had no answer for Edwards. Ant-Man tied for the team lead in scoring, shooting well over 50% from the field. If there was an issue for him, it was the turnovers, with the star guard racking up four, but to cite that would be to split hairs. Denver has three days to figure out their approach to defending Edwards, with Game 3 scheduled for Friday night. Rotoworld Monday, 9:34 pm
    • Jamal Murray (calf) available for Game 2 Monday
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is available for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Advice: As expected, Murray is available for Game 2, with the Nuggets trailing 1-0. He still isn’t 100%, but the Nuggets guard will continue to play through the injury. Reggie Jackson’s role becomes more critical with Murray’s injury, especially with Denver not getting much production from its bench in Game 1. Rotoworld Monday, 6:16 pm
