    Advice: Mitchell carried the momentum he had from his epic Game 7 performance against the Magic on Sunday and surpassed the 30-point mark once again. However, the rest of his teammates didn't step up, and the Cavaliers suffered a devastating 25-point loss in the series opener. Mitchell should continue to post excellent numbers as the Cavaliers' go-to player on offense -- by a wide margin -- but there's a chance his mighty performances might not translate into wins as it happened against the Magic in the previous round.     Wiggins logged 16 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 117-95 victory over the Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Wiggins had his best game of the playoffs, scoring 16 points including three triples. Given he scored a combined 23 points in the first-round series against the Pelicans, outbursts like this shouldn't be expected moving forward.     Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander fell agonizingly short of his first career playoff triple-double, guiding the Thunder to an emphatic Game 1 victory. While this was a close contest for the first three quarters, Oklahoma City took over late, led by the MVP candidate. He will look to build on this performance when the two teams clash again Thursday.     Advice: Hardaway returned to action following a four-game absence as a result of an ankle injury. While he does, in theory, provide Dallas with another scoring option off the bench, that was not the case here.     Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 20 points (7-of-14 FGs), one rebound, three assists, two steals, one block and three triples in a 117-95 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 on Tuesday.

    Advice: After scoring just six points in the first half, Irving once again turned it on for the second half and scored nine points in the third, which included a contested 3-pointer just before the buzzer. He was consistently better in the second half during their first round series against the Clippers, but his production in the second half of this game wasn’t enough to secure a win on the road.   • Aaron Wiggins chips in 16/5/2/1/1 line off bench
    Aaron Wiggins provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (5-of-7 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three triples against Dallas on Tuesday.

    Advice: OKC has plenty of depth, which means that there are multiple options that can change a game on any given night. Wiggins was the difference-maker in this game, and he was able to make an impact on both sides of the ball off the bench. He scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half, and the Thunder outscored Dallas by 18 points in his 23 minutes on the court. This doesn’t mean that Wiggins will continue to produce to this level moving forward, since he didn’t do much in the first round against New Orleans. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm
     
  • SGA turns in 29/9/9 line in Game 1 win over Dallas
    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 29 points (8-of-19 FGs, 11-of-13 FTs), nine rebounds, nine assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples in a 117-95 win over Dallas in Game 1 on Tuesday.

    Advice: SGA played well in their first round sweep of the Pelicans, but SGA had arguably his best performance of this postseason in Game 1. His field goal percentage was once again significantly worse than it was during the regular season, but he came close to recording a triple-double. He took over this game with Jalen Williams struggling for the first three quarters, and the Thunder used a dominant fourth quarter to seal the win in the first game of the series.   • Payton Pritchard chips in 16 points off bench
    Payton Pritchard provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (5-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers against Cleveland on Tuesday.

    Advice: Pritchard played a decent-sized role off the bench in the first round, but he didn’t make a significant impact like he did in this game. However, he kicked off this series with a solid performance as a reserve, and he wasn’t the only one. Luke Kornet, who has filled in as the backup center behind Al Horford, collected 10 rebounds and two blocks. Pritchard and Kornet should both continue to play important roles off the bench, but it is unlikely that either contributes in the box score to the level that they did in this game.
