      Advice: Stein reports that George would prefer to return to the Clippers, but the team is more inclined to offer a shorter-term deal. Wherever he lands, the veteran, 34-year-old star is in search of security. When available, he’s an elite, two-way talent, but availability has been a major concern since he arrived in LA.       The Magic and 76ers are considering making runs at Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency, per Marc Stein.

      Advice: KCP has won two of the last five championships as part of different squads while providing value on both ends of the value. He should make a huge impact on either the 76ers or Magic as both teams are ready to contend and could use a 3-and-D starter at shooting guard.       The Knicks are a potential trade suitor for Paul George, per Marc Stein.

      Advice: There have been plenty of rumors that multiple teams could pursue a trade for George this summer, and Stein believes that you can add the Knicks to the list. PG would give the Knicks another dynamic scoring option that won’t cost them on the defensive end, which would make them even more of a contender in the East. It’s unclear what type of trade package that the Clippers would bring back, but the Knicks could arguably make one of the most competitive offers for George that could still keep the Clippers competitive if they include Julius Randle in a deal.     • Shams: 76ers interest in Paul George has ‘waned’
      According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 76ers’ interest in pursuing Paul George this offseason has “waned in recent days.”

      Advice: Philadelphia is one of the teams that will head into free agency with a significant amount of cap space, even with the need to re-sign point guard Tyrese Maxey. George’s name has come up often recently, and Joel Embiid showing up at the NBA Finals while the Clippers star was working with ESPN certainly raised eyebrows. However, according to Charania, Philadelphia “is expected to be aggressive elsewhere” with its cap space and draft capital as the team looks to strengthen the roster around Embiid and Maxey. George has a player option for next season worth a little under $49 million, and there wasn’t much movement regarding negotiations with the Clippers on an extension. Should he opt for free agency, George will be one of the most sought-after players on the market, even if Philadelphia’s interest has decreased, as Charania reported.       Advice: Irving struggled to get going in the Game 5 loss to the Celtics after a strong performance in Game 4, when he put up 21 points, six assists and four rebounds on 55.6 percent shooting from the field. The eight-time All-Star averaged 19.8 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals in five NBA Finals games while shooting 41.4 percent from the field. Irving has now been to four NBA Finals with a 1-3 record, and he will attempt to help lead Dallas back to the championship round next year with Luka Doncic by his side.       Advice: Holiday was incredible for the Celtics in five NBA Finals games, averaging 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks while shooting 45.5 percent from the field. The 34-year-old proved to be a crucial addition to the Celtics winning title No. 18 -- it was also Holiday's second NBA Championship in just four years. The defensive mastermind averaged 13.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks while shooting 50.3 percent from the field across 19 playoff games.       Advice: Tatum had an all-time classic of a game to help deliver Boston banner No. 18 on Monday. The five-time All-Star was the first Celtics player since Larry Bird in 1986 with 20-plus points, 10-plus assists and five-plus rebounds in an NBA Finals game. The 26-year-old averaged 22.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks across five contests in the Finals. Overall, Tatum was spectacular in the 2023-24 playoffs, averaging 25.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 42.7 percent from the field.       Kyrie Irving finished Monday’s 106-88 loss to the Celtics with 15 points (5-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

      Advice: As in Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals, Irving struggled in Game 5. The nine assists weren’t enough to counter another poor shooting night, which is bound to leave a bitter taste in the Mavericks guard’s mouth heading into the offseason. Boasting a Yahoo ADP of 14.1, Irving exceeded that number in 8- and 9-cat formats. The veteran guard was slightly better in 9-cat, ranking within the top 10 according to Basketball Monster. The lone negative for Irving managers was the availability, as he was limited to 58 regular season games. While he certainly has top-10 fantasy potential, availability keeps him outside that threshold in drafts.       Jrue Holiday finished Monday’s 106-88 win over the Mavericks with 15 points (7-of-14 FGs), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: The Celtics wrapped up their 18th NBA title on Monday, and the win was lucrative for Holiday. The veteran guard earned a bonus worth nearly $1.265 million and recorded a double-double while doing so. Traded to the Celtics just before the start of training camp, Holiday’s fantasy value took a hit this season. However, ranking just outside the top 75 in 9-cat formats (and just inside that threshold in 8-cat), it isn’t like his production fell off a cliff. Holiday’s averages remained consistent outside of points and assists compared to his 2022-23 season with the Bucks. The veteran guard agreed to a four-year extension (player option for Year 4) in April, so his immediate future in Boston is secure. Holiday should once again be a top 75 fantasy player.
