    • Mutual interest between Klay Thompson, Dallas
There is “strong mutual interest” between Klay Thompson and the Mavericks, per Marc Stein.

Advice: There have been multiple reports that talks between Klay and the Warriors haven’t been going well, and there have also been reports that Dallas is interested in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Both players would bring championship pedigree and deep range shooting, so it isn’t surprising that Klay is being linked to Dallas. Thompson would likely fill out the starting small forward spot if he joins the Mavs and see plenty of open triples, courtesy of Luka Doncic. Rotoworld Today, 7:17 pm
    • Pistons decline Evan Fournier’s team option
The Pistons will not pick up Evan Fournier’s $19 million team option.

Advice: Fournier was completely out of the rotation with the Knicks last season, but he ended up playing a decent-sized role for Detroit after the trade deadline. However, there was no chance that they were going to pay him $19 million next season. He’ll have a chance to start fresh, but it’s unlikely that he is relevant in fantasy hoops next season. • Team declines option
The Pistons have declined to pick up Fournier's $19 million team option, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Advice: This was the expected move, as Fournier was not expected to be a part of the Pistons' future plans at his price tag. The veteran wing was on the outside looking in on the Knicks' rotation last season before being dealt to Detroit prior to the deadline. He then averaged 7.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples across 18.7 minutes in 29 games with the team. It remains to be seen what type of opportunities will come his way in free agency. Rotowire.com Today, 4:55 pm
    • Shams: Josh Richardson exercising player option
Josh Richardson will pick up his $3 million player option to remain with the Heat, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Richardson didn’t play the final few months of last season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder in early March, but he is expected to make a full recovery before next season begins. He played a reserve role before the injury, and he should once again play a decent-sized role off the bench next year, but he isn’t a player that will make much of a fantasy impact. • Picks up option
Richardson (shoulder) has picked up his $3 million player option to return to Miami for the 2024-25 season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: A shoulder injury in February led to a premature ending to Richardson's season, but he was a rotational player prior to the injury. Overall, he averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.5 triples across 25.7 minutes in 43 games. The veteran wing will look to earn a similar role for the Heat in the upcoming season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:14 pm
    • Dealt to Atlanta
Daniels, Larry Nance and two first-round picks were traded from the Pelicans to the Hawks for Dejounte Murray, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: As expected, the Hawks have dealt one of their two backcourt starters, and they will now shift to a younger look after selecting Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. It's easy to forget Daniels was selected with the No. 8 pick in 2022, as he struggled to find consistent minutes due to injury and an influx of win-now talent on New Orleans' roster. Daniels, at 6-foot-7, 199 pounds, is a versatile on-ball defender who can disrupt players across the board. On offense, he's shown playmaking upside, but he struggles shooting the ball. It's not a perfect fit next to Trae Young, but it's the right player to take a chance on during a soft rebuild. Rotowire.com Today, 4:00 pm
    • Dyson Daniels shipped to Hawks for Dejounte Murray
Dyson Daniels has been traded to the Hawks as part of the deal that sent Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans.

Advice: Daniels was never able to carve out a large role for the Pelicans during his two seasons with the team, and now he will get a fresh start with Atlanta. He will likely fill out as one of the backup guards behind Trae Young, alongside Kobe Bufkin. He has a lot of room for growth, but in the short-term, he will provide solid defense off the bench. His departure will allow Jose Alvarado to fully take the reins as the backup point guard behind Dejounte Murray, though CJ McCollum will likely soak up some of those minutes as well. • Dealt to New Orleans
The Hawks traded Murray to the Pelicans on Friday in exchange for two first-round picks, Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Murray averaged a career-high 22.5 points, along with 6.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals, in 35.7 minutes across 78 games in 2023-24. However, his fit alongside Trae Young was troubling, especially on the defensive end, as the Hawks finished with a 36-46 record. In New Orleans, Murray will likely compete for a starting job in the backcourt with CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram. Rotowire.com Today, 3:48 pm
    • Shams: Hawks send Dejounte Murray to Pelicans
The Hawks have traded Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans in exchange for Larry Nance Jr., Dyson Daniels and two first round picks, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Atlanta has officially broken up the point guard duo of Trae Young and Dejounte, which means that both should be elite fantasy options this season. Dejounte’s arrival in New Orleans will take the ball out of CJ McCollum’s hands and shift him to more of an off-ball role. Plenty more can still change, as Brandon Ingram is still expected to be moved. For the Hawks, Dejounte’s departure will open up minutes for Kobe Bufkin, as well as Daniels. Nance should fill in as the backup center, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they traded Clint Capela at some point this summer. The picks they acquired are the Lakers’ first rounder next season, as well as the least favorable first rounder between the Pelicans and Bucks in 2027. This move helps the Hawks recoup some draft capital, since they gave it all up to bring Murray to town in the first place. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm
