  • Westbrook (knee) to miss first days of camp
Thunder GM Sam Presti said that Russell Westbrook had a PRP injection in his right knee and will miss the first few days of training camp but that it's "nothing serious."

Advice: Obviously not the news you want to hear regarding the league's reigning MVP, but Presti and company clearly don't seem concerned with what they deem a minor procedure. Westbrook tore the meniscus in his right knee back in 2013, but Presti stated that the PRP injection has nothing to do with any past injuries. This is something we'll keep a close eye on over the next couple of weeks, but hopefully, Westrbook can show in the preseason that he isn't limited and will be ready to roll once the regular season tips off. • Joakim Noah (shoulder) cleared by doctors
Knicks president Steve Mills said that Joakim Noah (shoulder) has been medically cleared to play.

Advice: Noah had surgery to repair the rotator cuff in his right shoulder last April and was initially projected to be sidelined for 4-6 months. Now that he has been cleared by doctors, he can begin serving the remaining 12 games of his 20-game suspension at the start of the season. The first game he'll be eligible to appear in will be on November 13th vs. the Cavs. Noah's potential playing time at that point will depend partly on how well Willy Hernangomez fairs as the team's starting center. • Hornacek says Ntilikina will have shot at PG
Coach Jeff Hornacek said Frank Ntilikina will have a "chance to compete" for the Knicks starting point guard spot.

Advice: Ntilikina is just 19 years old and played limited minutes off the bench last season in France, so it would be surprising if the Knicks decided to start him or play him heavy minutes this early in his career. On the other hand, New York is clearly in rebuilding mode and may feel that it's best for his development if he gets thrown into the deep end of the pool right away. Ntilikina's competition at PG will be Ramon Sessions, Ron Baker and Jarret Jack. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:51 am
  • Wolves sign G Aaron Brooks
The Timberwolves have signed G Aaron Brooks.

Advice: The Wolves will be Brooks' seventh NBA team. Last season he appeared in 65 games and averaged 5.0 points and 1.9 assists in 13.8 minutes per contest for the Pacers. Brooks is not on the fantasy radar. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:22 am

  • G Jordan Mathews signs with Hawks
G Jordan Mathews has signed a training camp deal with the Hawks.

Advice: Mathews went undrafted after averaging 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 28.0 minutes as a senior at Gonzaga last season. He is a longshot to make the final 15-man roster and should be ignored in all fantasy formats. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:02 am
