  • Bucks will make re-signing Lopez a 'priority'
Brook Lopez will be a priority for the Bucks in free agency this season, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.

Advice: Lopez signed in Milwaukee for just one year after the Lakers decided they didn't want to re-sign him last summer. His one year deal was very cheap and team-friendly, but his next deal will almost certainly not be. The Bucks have a bunch of key free agents this offseason, but it seems like Lopez and Khris Middleton will be at the top of their list of players to retain. Lopez is a perfect fit next to likely-MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and played quite well in the postseason. Yesterday, 6:56 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins (quad) scrimmages on Friday
DeMarcus Cousins (quad) went through a scrimmage on Friday.

Advice: Coach Steve Kerr said Cousins looked good today, but there is still no specific target date for his return. Cousins does look to be ahead of schedule and he's expected to return at some point during the NBA Finals. Considering he's already this far along, he may have a shot to return in Game 1 or 2 with the Warriors on the road. Friday, 12:31 pm
  • Rudy Gobert eligible for supermax next summer
Rudy Gobert was named to the All-NBA Third Team on Thursday and will be eligible to sign a Designated Veteran Extension in the summer of 2020.

Advice: Although he wasn't named to an All-NBA team last season, Gobert was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the 2017-18 campaign. Thus, he is eligible to ink a supermax extension in July of 2020, which would pay him approximately $247 million over five years. Friday, 8:53 am
  • Jokic will play for Serbia in World Cup
Nikola Jokic confirmed he will play for Serbia in the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Advice: The Nuggets would probably prefer Jokic get extra rest after he averaged a whopping 39.8 minutes per game during the Nuggets playoff run, but representing their country in international tournaments often means a great deal to the players. Serbia faces Angola, the Philippines and Italy in the group phase of the World Cup beginning on August 31st. Friday, 7:25 am
  • Mavs conclude Porzingis was victim in assault
The Mavs have concluded that Kristaps Porzingis didn't do anything wrong when he was assaulted at a night club in Latvia earlier this month.

Advice: Exactly why he was assaulted is unclear, but the Mavs have determined he wasn't an instigator in the ordeal. He's officially returned to Dallas and did not sustain any serious injuries during the fight. KP will be a restricted free agent this summer, and the Mavs could offer him a five-year deal worth $158 million while opposing teams could only offer four years at $117.2 million (which the Mavs could match).
