  • REVENGE GAME! Rivers drops in 25 points vs. NYK
Austin Rivers went off against the team that traded him at the deadline on Wednesday, tallying 25 points, three rebounds, three assists, six triples, three steals and one turnover in 28 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Rivers got his points efficiently, finishing 7-of-13 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the line, and he's going to have increased opportunity in Denver while P.J. Dozier (groin) and Monte Morris (hamstring) are watching from the sidelines alongside Jamal Murray (knee). Michael Porter Jr. confirmed after the game that this was indeed a revenge game, saying, "He’s talked to me extensively how difficult it was for him in New York. So he told me coming into tonight how aggressive he was going to be and he was trying to get those dudes back." He got his revenge tonight, but we still wouldn't trust him to be consistent, particularly with Denver's next two matchups coming against Utah and Brooklyn. Today, 9:41 pm
  • Elfrid Payton continues to do nothing as a starter
Elfrid Payton continued his ineffectiveness through 17 minutes as a starter on Wednesday, finishing with six points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four turnovers in a loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Payton may be starting in New York, but he's not a closer, nor is he a great option in fantasy hoops. Tom Thibodeau recently said that he views his reserve PGs as the true starters, but that Payton is "an important part of the team." That may be true for actual basketball purposes, but he's not doing much for you in fantasy hoops, so we'd recommend sending him to the wire. Derrick Rose finished with 14 points, two rebounds, three assists, two triples and two turnovers in 27 minutes off the bench; while Immanuel Quickley produced 18 points, three rebounds, three triples, one steal and one turnover in 25 minutes. • D'Angelo Russell posts 22/14 double-double
D'Angelo Russell posted a 22-point, 14-assist double-double in his return to the starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: D'Lo finished 6-of-13 from the floor and 8-of-8 at the stripe, and he added four rebounds, one steal, two triples and an unfortunate five turnovers in his 37 minutes of floor time. Chris Finch said before the game that he wanted to get Russell in the starting lineup for Minnesota's final seven games to develop some better chemistry with Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, so it doesn't sound like he's in any danger of Ricky Rubio taking his job again. Particularly considering that Rubio finished tonight's game with just two points, four rebounds, four assists and one turnover in 17 minutes off the bench. Today, 8:50 pm
  • Ja Morant powers Memphis to win with 37/10 line
Ja Morant powered the Grizzlies to a 139-135 win over the Timberwolves on Wednesday with 37 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, two steals, one block, one triple and four turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: Morant received some heat when he proclaimed himself to be a top-5 PG in the league on TNT early today, but he went out tonight and looked every bit the part. “I said what I said. I believe in myself 100 percent," Morant stated after the game. "I’m not going to sit here and say I’m the worst guard in the league." Before he came through with this gem of a quote, he also said he had a "bad game" tonight and that it was "unacceptable" for him to brick two free throws down the stretch, so it wasn't coming from a place of cockiness, but confidence. He's a pleasure to watch and it'll be interesting to see where he winds up in next year's fantasy drafts. Today, 8:40 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson hits 12-of-16 for 30 points in win
Jordan Clarkson hit 12-of-16 shots and two 3-pointers for 30 points, six rebounds and four assists in Wednesday's 126-94 blowout win over the Spurs.

Advice: This was his third 30-point game of the season and he joined Bojan Bogdanovic (24 points on 10-of-13 shooting) and Joe Ingles (14/5/7 with three triples) to lead the Jazz to a very easy win against a Spurs team that pulled most of its starters before halftime. Jingles and Clarkson are must-start players with Mike Conley on the shelf with his ongoing hamstring injury. Today, 8:31 pm
