  • Blake Griffin could return on road trip
Blake Griffin (knee) could return to game action on the upcoming road trip.

Advice: The Clippers start their road trip on Saturday and won't be coming back home until Feb. 2. Griffin has been going through some sprints and DeAndre Jordan seemed encouraged. "I’m ready for Blake to come back. I know he’s extremely ready to be back on the floor," Jordan said. He doesn't have a target date, but another loss on Thursday could move BG's timetable up. • Karl-Anthony Towns scores team-high 37 points
Karl-Anthony Towns scores a team-high 37 points with 12 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in Thursday's 104-101 win against the Clippers

Advice: It was business as usual for Towns, who recorded his 32nd double-double of the season and led his team to a comeback victory with his valiant effort. He completely dominated DeAndre Jordan who had no answer for him. Towns is playing at an elite level right now, averaging 26.8 points, 14.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 1.0 steals, and 2.8 assists per game in his last five. If he continues at this pace, he will finish the season as a first-round player. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:42 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan scores career-high 29 points
DeAndre Jordan scored a career-high 29 points with 16 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Thursday's loss to the Timberwolves.

Advice: Jordan had a huge night, but did miss some key free throws late in the fourth quarter, which resulted in a 12-point blown lead for the Clippers. Hack-a-Jordan was in full effect late in the game. He is averaging 17.8 points, 18 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks in his last five games. The Clippers will need Jordan to step up in the next 6-8 weeks with Chris Paul (hand) out. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:20 pm
  • Dewayne Dedmon scores seven in 19 minutes
Dewayne Dedmon scored seven points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and no turnovers in 19 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: He's likely getting at least a slight bump in playing time with Pau Gasol (hand) out. Interestingly, both Dedmon and David Lee have played 84 minutes each next to LaMarcus Aldridge in the last 15 games, but coach Gregg Popovich may like Dedmon is his current role off the bench to back up LMA and Lee. There is still a chance he can up his minutes from 15.6 to the low 20s. For what it's worth, his per-24 stats are 7.3 points, nine boards, 0.9 steals and 1.3 blocks, so getting to even just 20 minutes would make him interesting. If you want offense get Lee, if you want defense get Dedmon. DD has the higher upside for the blocking scarcity. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
  • David Lee scores 10 points with 16 boards
David Lee grabbed a season-high 16 boards in a start for Pau Gasol (hand) on Thursday against the Nuggets, adding 10 points, two assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.

Advice: When he's in shape and is playing motivated, he has a similar skill set to Gasol right now. Coach Gregg Popovich said Lee was "fantastic" in this game, which isn't too surprising based on his previous starts. In those previous three, Lee averaged 8.7 points, 9.3 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks in 27.0 minutes. He should have some low-end value while Gasol is out for the next month or so, so he's worth a look in standard leagues for anyone needing a big man for points, boards and percentages.
