  • Tyrese Haliburton tallies 25 points, 10 assists
    Tyrese Haliburton shot 8-of-18 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime loss to the Celtics, amassing 25 points, three rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, one block, and six 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

    Advice: After hitting six 3-pointers in Indiana’s Game 7 win over the Knicks, Haliburton hit six more in the Eastern Conference Finals opener. However, turnovers and a minus-15 margin at the foul line proved costly for the Pacers. Haliburton was only responsible for three of the team’s 21 turnovers, but many of the team’s miscues were unforced. While Indiana can take solace in having a chance to win Game 1 against a well-rested opponent, the truth is that they let this one get away.   • Jaylen Brown finishes Game 1 win with 26 points
    Jaylen Brown logged 44 minutes in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over Indiana, finishing with 26 points (10-of-20 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block, and one 3-pointer.

    Advice: After scoring just 11 points in Boston’s series-clinching win over Cleveland on May 15, Brown got his Eastern Conference Finals off to a good start. The Celtics star has scored 26 points or more in three of the team’s last four games, shooting 50% or better in each. What also has DFS players pleased is the production in other categories, most notably the assists, steals, and blocks. While Brown was responsible for seven assists in that Game 5 victory over Cleveland, the four “stocks” are the most in a game for him this postseason.   • Jrue Holiday tallies 28 points, eight assists
    Jrue Holiday played 48 minutes in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over Indiana, amassing 28 points (10-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and four 3-pointers.

    Advice: Holiday has seemingly found his groove after struggling to begin this postseason. He’s shot 54.5% or better in each of Boston’s last four games, and the 28 points scored in Tuesday’s Game 1 were a postseason high. Holiday was also effective as a distributor and rebounder, with five of his seven boards coming on the offensive end of the floor. With Derrick White (15/6/9/2/1 with three 3-pointers) shooting 5-of-13 from the field, Holiday scoring as efficiently as he did gave the Celtics a welcome boost. Game 2 is on Thursday night.   • Poor offensive showing Sunday
    Caldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value.   • Scores game-high 35 points
    Murray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:58 am
  • Anthony Edwards limited to 16 points in Game 7 win
    Anthony Edwards shot 6-of-24 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Sunday’s 98-90 win over Denver, finishing with 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 44 minutes.

    Advice: On Sunday, Edwards got off to a brutal start, shooting 1-of-7 from the field in the first half. He was better in the third quarter, but give Ant-Man credit for not letting his offensive struggles impact his defense. He defended Jamal Murray well in the second half, and multiple members of Minnesota’s “supporting cast” stepped up offensively. Backcourt partner Mike Conley added 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes.   • Alec Burks contributes 26 points in Game 7 loss
    Alec Burks shot 8-of-13 from the field and 8-of-8 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, amassing 26 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

    Advice: After not playing at all in the first seven games of the postseason, Burks moved into the Knicks rotation out of necessity. And the veteran guard was productive, reaching double figures in his last five games. Sunday’s performance was Burks’ best: he shot nearly 62% from the field and scored 26 points. That’s an excellent way to head into free agency this summer. Burks’ days of being a must-roster player in fantasy leagues may be finished, but he still has something left in the tank.   • Josh Hart plays 37 MIN despite abdominal strain
    Josh Hart shot 3-of-9 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, tallying 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 37 minutes.

    Advice: Despite suffering a strained abdominal muscle during Game 6, Hart was on the court for Game 7. Give him credit for gutting out 37 minutes before fouling out, but he wasn’t himself physically. Hart still contributed 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, but it wasn’t enough to help the Knicks erase an early deficit. Hart was expected to provide late-round fantasy value this season, and that’s precisely what he did. However, he was a 6th-round player in 9-cat formats after the trade deadline. Hart’s fantasy ceiling in 2024-25 will depend on what the Knicks do with the rest of the roster, as OG Anunoby can become a free agent, and Julius Randle (shoulder) will be healthy.   • Donte DiVincenzo scores 39 in Game 7 defeat
    Donte DiVincenzo shot 11-of-21 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, scoring 39 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and nine 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

    Advice: As the Knicks continued to lose players, DiVincenzo kept firing away. He was outstanding in Game 7, shooting over 50% from the field and scoring 39 points. While DiVincenzo had a few games this postseason in which he struggled, the overall play was excellent. His 2023-24 season was better than anyone imagined, with DiVincenzo progressing from valued reserve to fixture in the Knicks starting lineup. He provided 3rd-round fantasy value after the trade deadline and finished the season just outside the top 60 in 9-cat formats. Expecting that level of production from DiVincenzo in 2024-25 would be a bit much, especially with a healthy Knicks roster. However, he’ll be worth selecting just inside the top 100.
