Anunoby has his hands full defensively with former Raptors teammate Pascal Siakam, but he made a few critical plays off the ball down the stretch. In fact, George surpassed the 22-point mark just once in the six contests against the Mavericks, and his numbers throughout the series were disappointing. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point range. That marked a clear decline compared to his regular-season figures, and it might be fair to wonder if the Clippers are going to bring him back for 2024-25 or if they might look at potential trade options during the offseason. The production exceeded PG-13’s Yahoo ADP (31.4) by a considerable margin, but there are questions heading into the summer. George still can opt out of the final season of his deal, and even with the expectation that he’ll remain with the Clippers, there’s no shortage of potential suitors.       Advice: All five Knicks starters scored in double figures in Game 6, with Anunoby being one of four to log at least 44 minutes. He was impactful on both ends of the floor as New York closed out Philadelphia, and OG scored 16 points or more in each of the final four games of the series. The second round brings a matchup with Indiana, and Anunoby will be asked to defend former Raptors teammate Pascal Siakam. Game 1 is on Monday at Madison Square Garden.       Advice: Anunoby made some big plays late in the fourth quarter of this game, and if the result was different, his impact would have been one of the headlines from this game. Tyrese Maxey’s heroics overshadowed that, but Anunoby’s fit with this team has been flawless. He played 50 minutes in this game after logging 46 minutes in their last one, but that won’t change Tom Thibodeau’s gameplan.
