    • Another poor shooting performance
Russell closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt), one rebound and six assists in 39 minutes.

Advice: Russell finished the opening-round series shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep. He had a pair of standout performances, but his overall production was too inconsistent. It was a disappointing end to what was a solid season for the veteran point guard. Russell appeared in 76 games (69 starts) and averaged 18.0 points on 45.6/41.5/82.8 shooting splits during the regular season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:01 am
    • Modest production again
Holiday chipped in 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Monday's 102-88 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Holiday continues to put up mediocre stats, something that has been a trend all season long. He has had to take a back seat since arriving in Boston, especially on the offensive end. With that said, the Celtics recently signed him to a sizeable contract extension, highlighting just how important he is to the team despite the lack of tangible numbers. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:39 pm
    • Bounces back in Game 4 win
Russell ended Saturday's 119-108 win over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 21 points (8-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 41 minutes.

Advice: Russell faced tons of scrutiny following a woeful effort in a Game 3 loss during which he finished scoreless (0-7 FG, 0-6 3Pt), but he bounced back admirably and reached the 20-point mark for the second time in this series. Russell will need to carry his hot hand into Game 5 if the Lakers want to avoid elimination Monday. Rotowire.com Apr 27, 9:25 pm
    • D’Angelo Russell bounces back, scores 21 points
D’Angelo Russell amassed 21 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 41 minutes in the Lakers’ Game 4 win over the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: Despite the questions regarding whether or not he would change the starting lineup, Lakers coach Darvin Ham stuck with the same five with his team’s season on the line. Russell, who went scoreless on 0-of-7 shooting in Game 3, rewarded his coach’s faith, rebounding and scoring an efficient 21 points on Saturday. While Russell struggled throughout last season’s Western Conference Finals, he has been up and down in this series. The Lakers will need him to break that trend in Game 5 on Monday if they’re to force a Game 6. Rotoworld Apr 27, 8:16 pm
