    • Scores 18 points in Game 6 defeat
George amassed 18 points (6-18 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 42 minutes during Friday's 114-101 loss to the Mavericks in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: George was asked to carry the Clippers offensively in the absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee), but he ended the series on a sour note, as he couldn't reach the 20-point mark in three of his last four appearances. In fact, George surpassed the 22-point mark just once in the six contests against the Mavericks, and his numbers throughout the series were disappointing. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point range. That marked a clear decline compared to his regular-season figures, and it might be fair to wonder if the Clippers are going to bring him back for 2024-25 or if they might look at potential trade options during the offseason. • Paul George scores 18 points in Game 6 defeat
Paul George shot 6-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Friday’s 114-101 loss to the Mavericks, amassing 18 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

Advice: Facing elimination, the Clippers needed elite production from George and James Harden, and neither could come through. They also struggled in Game 5, making for a disappointing end to the season. Neither health nor production was an issue for George this season, as he appeared in 79 regular season games and provided top 20 per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats. The production exceeded PG-13’s Yahoo ADP (31.4) by a considerable margin, but there are questions heading into the summer. George still can opt out of the final season of his deal, and even with the expectation that he’ll remain with the Clippers, there’s no shortage of potential suitors. Regardless of where he plays in 2024-25, George’s 2023-24 season should renew the faith of fantasy managers. Rotoworld Friday, 9:58 pm
    • Owns glass in season-ending loss
Portis ended with 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 15 rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes in Thursday's 120-98 loss to Indiana in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Portis once again dominated the glass for Milwaukee in a season-ending loss Thursday, leading all players in the contest in rebounds while ending as one of three Bucks with 20 or more points in a double-double outing. Portis stepped up nicely in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) in the first-round series, posting a double-double in five of the six contests while surpassing the 20-point mark in the final two games against Indiana. • Bobby Portis tallies 20 points, 15 boards in Gm 6
Bobby Portis finished Thursday’s Game 6 loss to the Pacers with 20 points (8-of-17 FGs, 3-of-7 FTs), 15 rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: After losing his composure and getting ejected from Game 4, Portis posted solid stat lines in the series’ final two games. But it wasn’t enough to keep the Bucks alive, as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence and the team’s lack of depth was too much to overcome. Due to his consistent value as a reserve, fantasy managers did not hesitate to use a late-round pick on Portis. Boasting a Yahoo ADP of 113.2, he finished the regular season ranked just outside the top 100 in 9-cat per-game value. The 2024-25 season is the last guaranteed season on Portis’ contract, as he has a player option for 2025-26. He should again be a reliable late-round option in standard leagues this fall. • Brook Lopez finishes season with 20-point night
Brook Lopez logged 31 minutes in Thursday’s 120-98 loss to the Pacers, accounting for 20 points (7-of-12 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, and one assist.

Advice: While Lopez thoroughly outplayed Myles Turner in Game 6, it didn’t matter because Indiana had a far superior bench. The veteran center shot 50% or better from the field in all six games, scoring at least 20 points in three. To say this was a brutal ending for a team with championship ambitions would be an understatement. Lopez isn’t a “sexy” fantasy target, based on his Yahoo ADP of 69.7, but he once again exceeded expectations. The veteran center finished the regular season as a top 50 player in 9-cat formats while sitting just outside the top 60 in 8-cat. He’ll likely come off the board in the 6th round of standard league drafts, but Lopez is a relatively safe bet to exceed that. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:06 pm
    • Efficient in Game 5 win
White chipped in 25 points (8-13 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 118-84 win over Miami in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: White co-led the Celtics in scoring Wednesday alongside Jaylen Brown, and he enjoyed playing a more prominent role on offense with Kristaps Porzingis (calf) sidelined and with Jayson Tatum taking a bit of a step back on the scoring side of things. White reached the 20-point mark in three of his five appearances in the series against the Heat, and he should remain an offensive menace in the Eastern Conference Semifinals regardless of whether the Celtics face the Magic or the Cavaliers. • Paul George goes quiet, finishes with 15 points
Paul George shot 4-of-13 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s Game 5 loss to the Mavericks, tallying 15 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Like James Harden, George struggled after scoring 33 points in the Clippers’ Game 4 win on Sunday. The good news for DFS managers is that he was productive as a rebounder, but the combination of poor shooting and turnovers (three) was too much to overcome. George will need to play better in Game 6 if the Clippers are to ensure that Wednesday’s stinker wasn’t their last as a tenant of Crypto.com Arena. Game 6 is on Friday night in Dallas. • Derrick White scores 25 points with five triples
Derrick White shot 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Heat, scoring 25 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

Advice: It didn’t take long for White, who scored 38 points in Game 4, and the Celtics to turn the series clincher into a laugher. Boston tallied 41 points in the first quarter and did not look back, earning themselves some valuable rest days ahead of the second round. Whether the opponent is Cleveland or Orlando (CLE leads 3-2 ahead of Friday’s Game 6), White will be a crucial figure due to his defensive prowess. And the final games of the Heat series showed what he’s capable of offensively, especially if opponents devote too much defensive attention to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. • Dominates in Game 5 victory
Portis racked up 29 points (14-24 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 115-92 victory over the Pacers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Portis atoned for his ejection in Game 4, leading the Bucks to an emphatic victory. He led all scorers with 29 points, having his way on the interior against a Pacers team that looked out-enthused. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) still on the sideline, Portis has been the primary beneficiary. Milwaukee will need him to replicate this performance Thursday should they hope to force a Game 7.
