Myles Turner finished Friday’s 116-103 win over the Knicks with 17 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Advice: Following their 30-point loss in Game 5, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle described his team’s effort as “embarrassing.” The players took those words to heart, maybe none more than Turner. Isaiah Hartenstein, who grabbed 12 offensive rebounds in Game 5, was his assignment in that loss, and the longest-tenured Pacer was much better on Friday night. In addition to throwing down a few thunderous dunks, Turner led the Pacers in rebounds and did an excellent job of protecting the rim. He’ll look to do more of the same in Game 7 on Sunday afternoon. Advice: To begin the third quarter, Turner got hot, hitting three 3-pointers to trim the Pacers’ deficit to seven points. That was as close as Indiana would get, as the Knicks’ improved defense and dominance of the offensive boards were too much to overcome. New York grabbed 20 offensive rebounds, nine fewer than Indiana’s total rebound tally. Kyrie Irving struggled on Monday and finished with just nine points (4-of-11 FGs), one rebound and nine assists against the Thunder.

Advice: Kyrie has been able to put together some spectacular second halves after not doing much in the first half throughout this postseason. However, that wasn’t the case in this game. After entering halftime with four points and seven assists, he didn’t add much after the break. Dallas can’t survive with both Luka Doncic and Irving struggling, which was the case in this game. OKC regained homecourt advantage in this game, which means that Dallas will have to win another game on the road to win this series. Advice: Turner and the Pacers were dominant throughout Game 4, as they picked up the win to even the series at two games apiece. He didn’t miss a shot from the field while recording a full stat line, including three blocked shots. Outside of Game 2, Turner has played well in his matchup with Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein. The ability to step out beyond the 3-point line makes Turner a problematic matchup for Hartenstein, who appears more comfortable in drop coverage than playing at the level. Kyrie Irving finished Saturday’s 105-101 win over the Thunder with 22 points (10-of-17 FGs), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Irving turned things up a notch offensively during the second half for the second time in this series. He scored 14 of his 22 points in the final 15 minutes of Game 3, sealing the victory with a left-handed floater with about 30 seconds remaining. With Luka Doncic playing through multiple injuries, Irving’s ability to make things happen offensively is of even greater importance to the Mavericks.
