      Advice: McCollum may have produced solid value in the box score, but this wasn’t an efficient performance for him. He started 1-of-10 from the floor, and he accounted for six of the team’s 20 turnovers. New Orleans has needed more out of McCollum with Zion Williamson sidelined, but that hasn’t happened. They’ll host the Thunder in Game 4 on Monday, and McCollum will have to be much better than he was in this one if they want to avoid the sweep and keep their season alive. The veteran guard still ended as one of the top scorers for the Pelicans -- a positive sign after he scored a combined 16 points while shooting 7-for-23 in his two Play-In Tournament appearances.       Advice: Neither of New Orleans’ top two available scorers performed well in Game 1, with McCollum and Brandon Ingram (12/6/3/0/1 in 37 minutes) shooting a combined 14-of-39 from the field. The former had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but his leaner from beyond the arc went long. Oklahoma City has multiple wing defenders capable of giving the Pelicans trouble, beginning with Luguentz Dort, and rookie Cason Wallace guarded McCollum well on the final possession. With Zion Williamson (hamstring) not being evaluated for another two weeks, McCollum and Ingram will have to do most of the heavy lifting if the Pelicans are to have any chance of winning the series.       Advice: Fox came through when the Kings needed him the most, but the Pelicans put Sacramento's season to an end and will now get a matchup against the Thunder in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Fox, whose 35 points was his best outing since April 5, finished the regular season with a career-best 26.6 points per game and will surely be one of the top guards taken in next season's drafts.       De’Aaron Fox shot 12-of-29 from the field and 7-of-11 from the foul line in Friday’s 105-98 loss to the Pelicans, scoring 35 points with seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

      Advice: Fox produced a gaudy point total in his final action of the 2023-24 season, but the Pelicans made him work for his numbers. The Kings point guard was inefficient, shooting 4-of-16 from three while committing five turnovers. While Fox’s scoring (26.6), rebound (4.6), and steal (2.0) averages increased in comparison to last season, his field-goal and free-throw percentages decreased. However, that did not prevent him from providing 2nd-round per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats, and the same can be said for Fox’s totals value. However, he had another quiet night on offense, with Friday’s effort occurring with Zion Williamson (hamstring) sidelined. The good news for the Pelicans is that their bench stepped up, with Jose Alvarado (10/5/2/2/1 with one 3-pointer) and Naji Marshall (13/4/3/2) reaching double figures. The bench contributions will be critical against the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs, but the Pelicans will need more from McCollum regardless of how well the reserves play.
