    • Begley: ‘Unlikely’ Knicks re-sign Hartenstein
      According to SNY’s Ian Begley, it is becoming “increasingly unlikely” that the Knicks will be able to re-sign Isaiah Hartenstein.

      Advice: The joy Knicks fans felt in the immediate aftermath of the Mikal Bridges trade was somewhat tempered by the report on Hartenstein. Given how well he played this season, the 7-footer will command a significant payday once he hits free agency on June 30, and New York is limited in what they can offer iHart since the team does not hold his Bird rights. Losing Harteinstein would impact Mitchell Robinson, whose name has recently come up in trade rumors.       Antetokounmpo (calf) is out for Tuesday's Acropolis Tournament game against Montenegro, Harris Stavrou of Sport24 reports.

      Advice: Antetokounmpo will have another chance to suit up Thursday when Greece faces the Bahamas. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see the NBA superstar sit out the exhibition tournament entirely and focus on being as close to 100 percent as possible for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which begins July 2.       The Cavaliers are confident in reaching an extension with Mitchell (calf) this offseason and will soon present the five-star All-Star guard with a four-year, $209 million maximum contract offer, Shams Charania, Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd of The Athletic report.

      Advice: Mitchell's current contract runs through the 2025-26 season, but because he holds a $37.1 million player option for that season that he would almost certainly decline, the Cavaliers are eager to strike a long-term deal with him rather than risk losing him in free agency next summer. On a related note, the Cavaliers are eager to hire an offensive-minded head coach who values ball movement to get the most out of Mitchell, with the report noting that the organization has narrowed down its search to Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson and Pelicans associate head coach James Borrego, both of whom have previous head-coaching experience with the Nets and Hornets, respectively. Mitchell missed the final two games of the Cavaliers' Eastern Conference semifinal round loss to the Celtics with a left calf strain, but he's expected to be fully healthy well in advance of training camp in the fall.       The Pelicans are reportedly “dangling” Brandon Ingram in trade talks and have contacted both Houston and Philadelphia about a potential deal, per The Athletic’s Kelly Iko.

      Advice: Since their season ended, rumors have been swirling about a BI trade, and it seems like it’s only a matter of time before he is with a new organization. New Orleans looked into a deal that landed them Alperen Sengun, but the Rockets reportedly have no interest in that. Philly is in the market for a third star and have already been tied to wings like Paul George and Jimmy Butler.
