      Advice: Brown has been on a roll of late, and this 40-point effort was his best scoring mark of the 2023-24 playoff campaign. The star forward has surpassed the 25-point mark in four of his last five appearances, and he should continue to have a massive role in the Celtics' offensive scheme during Game 3 on Saturday.     • Jaylen Brown drops 40 in Game 2 win over Indiana
      Jaylen Brown led Boston with 40 points (14-of-27 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in a 126-110 win over Indiana in Game 2 on Thursday.

      Advice: Brown obviously felt like he deserved to be on an All-NBA team, and he made sure to let the league know that he felt disrespected. He got off to a hot start and scored 24 points before halftime and went on to have his highest scoring game of this postseason. He made the All-NBA second team last season, and he did receive 50 third place votes this year, which made him the last name off the ballot. His performance was huge in helping them win Game 2, which was something they didn’t do in the first two rounds of this postseason.     • Naz Reid tallies 15 points, full line in Game 1
      Naz Reid shot 5-of-9 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

      Advice: As has been the case throughout this season, Reid gave the Timberwolves solid production off the bench in Wednesday’s Game 1. Unfortunately for the Timberwolves, their bench outscoring the Mavericks reserves by a 28-14 margin didn’t mean much. Kyle Anderson added 11 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes, shooting 5-of-8 from the field. While Reid and Rudy Gobert (12/7/1/1/2 in 38 minutes) recorded full stat lines, the struggles of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards were too much to overcome.       Advice: This was a great response from Brown after he was held to 11 points in the final game of the previous series against the Cavaliers.       Jaylen Brown logged 44 minutes in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over Indiana, finishing with 26 points (10-of-20 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block, and one 3-pointer.

      Advice: After scoring just 11 points in Boston’s series-clinching win over Cleveland on May 15, Brown got his Eastern Conference Finals off to a good start. The Celtics star has scored 26 points or more in three of the team’s last four games, shooting 50% or better in each. What also has DFS players pleased is the production in other categories, most notably the assists, steals, and blocks. While Brown was responsible for seven assists in that Game 5 victory over Cleveland, the four “stocks” are the most in a game for him this postseason.       Reid closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Reid played additional minutes down the stretch due to Karl-Anthony Towns' foul trouble. As usual, Reid delivered on the offensive end and tallied a few key blocks.       Giddey closed Saturday's 117-116 loss to Dallas in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals with two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes.

      Advice: Giddey played just 10 minutes in the loss, ending what has been a disappointing season for the young Australian. Having started the majority of the season, he was moved to the bench in recent games. In fact, he played fewer than 15 minutes in five straight contests to end the campaign, placing some doubt over what his role could look like in 2024-25. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:58 pm
       
    • Josh Giddey plays 11 minutes in series finale
      Josh Giddey shot 1-of-3 from the field in Saturday’s 117-116 loss to Dallas, accounting for two points, four rebounds, and one assist in 11 minutes.

      Advice: After playing well in the final three games of Oklahoma City’s four-game sweep of New Orleans, Giddey offered little value against the Mavericks. He played 17 minutes in the series opener and no more than 13 in any of the five games that followed. For Games 5 and 6, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault replaced Giddey in the starting lineup with Isaiah Joe due to the need for a floor spacer. The former lottery pick is eligible for a rookie-level extension this summer, but it’s fair to wonder if he’s the “odd man out” in Oklahoma City. Giddey, who had a Yahoo ADP of 58.9, finished the regular season ranked well outside the top 100. If he remains with the Thunder, he shouldn’t be selected with a top 100 pick.     • Darius Garland struggles in season-ending defeat
      Darius Garland accounted for 11 points (4-of-17 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), nine assists, and two steals in 43 minutes in Wednesday’s 113-98 loss to the Celtics.

      Advice: Boston eliminated Cleveland in five games, an unsurprising outcome given the Cavaliers’ many injuries. What was incredibly disappointing about Game 5 was Garland’s performance. After scoring 30 points and dishing out seven assists in Game 4, he shot 4-of-17 from the field and missed all four of his 3-point attempts. As with Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, injuries were a significant factor for Garland, as he was limited to 57 regular-season games. While his value in 8-cat formats wasn’t far from his Yahoo ADP (40.3), he failed to crack the top 100 in 9-cat. Selecting Garland within the top 50 of standard league drafts wouldn’t be a bad idea, but fantasy managers can’t be blamed if they decide to look elsewhere next fall. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:10 pm
