    • Leads all scorers despite loss
Brunson amassed 31 points (11-26 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-9 FT), one rebound and five assists in 38 minutes during Friday's 116-103 loss to Indiana in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Brunson ended with a game-high 31 points, the majority of which came in the final quarter. He struggled to find his rhythm early in the game, at one point missing 11 consecutive shot attempts. The Knicks lost Josh Hart late in the game due to an abdominal injury. If the injury causes him to miss or at least play limited minutes in Game 7, Brunson may need to be at his absolute best if New York has any chance of moving onto the next round. • Jalen Brunson struggles early, finishes with 31
Jalen Brunson played 38 minutes in Friday’s 116-103 loss to the Pacers, accounting for 31 points (11-of-26 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), one rebound, five assists, and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Brunson may have finished Game 6 with a solid point total, but this was anything but a masterclass from the Knicks point guard. After making his first two shot attempts, he missed 11 straight, going into the locker room having shot 2-of-13 from the field. A free throw to begin the third quarter got Brunson going, as he scored 14 of his 31 in the period. But the damage had been done by that point, especially with the other Knicks failing to get going. Brunson and the Knicks head home to host Game 7 on Sunday, with the winner advancing to face Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals. The franchise last hosted a Game 7 in 1995, which they lost to the Pacers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:27 pm
    • Scores 44 points in Game 5
Brunson finished Tuesday's 121-91 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 44 points (18-35 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds and seven assists across 43 minutes.

Advice: Brunson led the Knicks in scoring for the eighth time this postseason and the third time this series. After going 16-for-43 over the previous two games, Brunson was far more efficient with his 35 shots in Game 5, his most of the playoffs. He's averaging 33.9 points on 45.1 percent shooting, 3.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists over 41.0 minutes per game in the postseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:00 pm
    • Jalen Brunson torches Pacers, scores 44 points
Jalen Brunson shot 18-of-35 from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 121-91 win over the Pacers, scoring 44 points with four rebounds, seven assists, and two 3-pointers in 43 minutes.

Advice: The home team has not lost a game in this series, as the Knicks rolled the Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday. And Brunson was scalding hot, scoring 28 points in the first half alone. He would finish with 44 points and seven assists, the fifth time this postseason the Knicks point guard has tallied at least 40 points and five assists in a game. There have been nine such games in Knicks franchise history (Patrick Ewing with two, Bernard King and Carmelo Anthony with one each). The additional rest Brunson and the other Knicks mainstays received during Sunday’s Game 4 blowout appeared to benefit New York, and they’ll have two days to recover for Game 6 on Friday. • Another dreadful showing
Irving posted nine points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and nine assists in 41 minutes during Monday's 100-96 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: The Mavericks have welcomed the emergence of P.J. Washington in the series against the Thunder, as Kyrie Irving has struggled badly so far. He's failed to score in double digits in two of four games versus OKC and is shooting a mere 35.7 percent from three-point range. Irving needs to take on a bigger role on offense if the Mavericks want to move to the Western Conference Finals, especially considering how banged up Luka Doncic is. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:11 am
    • Kyrie Irving musters up 9/1/9 line in Game 4 loss
Kyrie Irving struggled on Monday and finished with just nine points (4-of-11 FGs), one rebound and nine assists against the Thunder.

Advice: Kyrie has been able to put together some spectacular second halves after not doing much in the first half throughout this postseason. However, that wasn’t the case in this game. After entering halftime with four points and seven assists, he didn’t add much after the break. Dallas can’t survive with both Luka Doncic and Irving struggling, which was the case in this game. OKC regained homecourt advantage in this game, which means that Dallas will have to win another game on the road to win this series. Kyrie will look to bounce back in Game 5 on Wednesday to help make that happen. Rotoworld Monday, 9:56 pm
    • Burn the tape: Jalen Brunson struggles in blowout
Jalen Brunson shot 6-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 from the foul line in Sunday’s 121-89 loss to the Pacers, scoring 18 points with three rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 31 minutes.

Advice: Brunson and the Knicks were never in Game 4, as the Pacers won the first quarter by a 34-14 margin and did not look back. New York’s star point guard missed his first six shot attempts and finished Sunday’s loss 0-of-5 from beyond the arc. If there’s anything the Knicks can take solace in, it’s that Sunday’s result only counts for one game, regardless of the margin. Also, the blowout led to the Knicks’ key options sitting out the entire fourth quarter. Game 5 is on Tuesday in New York, with the teams tied at two games apiece. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:59 pm
    • Bounces back with 22 points
Irving notched 22 points (10-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 41 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 win over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: After a season-low nine points in Game 2, Irving came back with a diverse stat line, helping the Mavericks go up in the series. Irving complemented teammate Luka Doncic with a series of key plays in the closing minutes, draining all four of his shots in the final stanza. Irving led the team with seven assists, which marked the fourth time the All-Star exceeded his season average in that category during the playoffs. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:45 pm
    • Kyrie Irving records 22/5/7/1/1 line in Game 3 win
Kyrie Irving finished Saturday’s 105-101 win over the Thunder with 22 points (10-of-17 FGs), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Irving turned things up a notch offensively during the second half for the second time in this series. He scored 14 of his 22 points in the final 15 minutes of Game 3, sealing the victory with a left-handed floater with about 30 seconds remaining. With Luka Doncic playing through multiple injuries, Irving’s ability to make things happen offensively is of even greater importance to the Mavericks. Dallas will take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Monday night. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:11 pm
