Jalen Williams puts up 24/8/4/2/1, Thunder advance
Jalen Williams posted a full line on Monday with 24 points (9-of-17 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two triples in a 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4.
Advice: OKC has their superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but JDub is a star in the making that has shined on the national stage. He closed out this series by scoring eight straight points with less than five minutes left to give the Thunder a double-digit lead late in the fourth. Williams didn’t make the impact that Lu Dort did, but he did make contribute a ton on the defensive end in this series, as they held the Pelicans to 89.5 points per game. They’ll take on the winner of the Mavericks-Clippers series in round two, with a chance to make the Western Conference Finals on the line.
