      Pascal Siakam shot 7-of-18 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 130-121 loss to the Knicks, scoring 14 points with nine rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in 36 minutes.

      Advice: After shooting 73.2% from the foul line during the regular season, Siakam has been even worse in the playoffs. He missed both attempts in Game 2, falling to 16.7% (1-of-6) for the series. Add in the six games against the Bucks, and Siakam is now 7-of-28 (25%) for the postseason. The Knicks potentially losing OG Anunoby to a hamstring injury will impact how they defend Siakam, with Precious Achiuwa taking on the responsibility down the stretch of Game 2.       Mitchell produced 33 points (12-25 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Mitchell carried the momentum he had from his epic Game 7 performance against the Magic on Sunday and surpassed the 30-point mark for the third straight game. However, the rest of his teammates didn't step up, and the Cavaliers suffered a devastating 25-point loss in the series opener. Mitchell should continue to post excellent numbers as the Cavaliers' go-to player on offense -- by a wide margin -- but there's a chance his mighty performances might not translate into wins as happened against the Magic in the previous round.     • Donovan Mitchell scores 33 points in blowout loss
      Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 33 points (12-of-25 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and four triples in a 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 on Tuesday.

      Advice: This was Mitchell’s third straight game with at least 30 points, but it didn’t end up mattering in the end. Mitchell did most of his scoring in the first quarter (14) and third quarter (16), but he didn’t add much in the second and fourth quarter, which lined up with Cleveland’s offensive struggles. Mitchell was able to provide plenty of offense, but he’ll need help if the Cavaliers want to pull off the upset in this series.       Pascal Siakam amassed 19 points (8-of-16 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.

      Advice: Siakam has scored 19 points in his last two postseason games, appearing to turn the corner after going quiet in Games 3 through 5 of Indiana’s first-round series with Milwaukee. While all teams deal with injuries to a certain extent this time of year, it’s clear that Tyrese Haliburton’s back is still causing him trouble. As a result, the Pacers will need more production from Siakam and Myles Turner, and they combined to score 42 points in Game 1. Indiana will look to even the series at one game apiece on Wednesday.     • Carries Cleveland to Game 7 win
      Mitchell finished Sunday's 106-94 win over the Magic in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 39 points (11-27 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 15-17 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 45 minutes.

      Advice: The Cavaliers needed Mitchell to step up and deliver a superstar performance in Game 7 against a rising Orlando team, and that's exactly what he accomplished with this outing. Mitchell had some ups and downs in the series but often stepped his game up when the Cavaliers needed him, something that will be even more needed against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Mitchell averaged 28.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in the first round while putting up at least 28 points in each of the last three contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:36 am

      Donovan Mitchell shot 11-of-27 from the field and 15-of-17 from the foul line in Sunday’s 106-94 win over Orlando, scoring 39 points with nine rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 44 minutes.

      Advice: Mitchell did what players with playoff experience are supposed to do in a game the magnitude of Sunday’s Game 7. While the Cavaliers struggled collectively, Spida shouldered most of the load until others stepped up. He scored 89 points in Games 6 and 7, the second-most in the sixth and seventh games of an NBA playoff series (Allen Iverson scored 90 in Games 6 and 7 of the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals vs. Milwaukee).       Advice: Mitchell outscored the rest of the Cavaliers roster, dropping 50 points in the loss. He scored all of Cleveland's points in the final quarter.       Donovan Mitchell shot 22-of-36 from the field and 3-of-6 from the foul line in Friday’s 103-96 loss to Orlando, scoring 50 points with four rebounds, four assists, one block, and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

      Advice: Playing in a close-out game for the first time in his two seasons with the Cavaliers, Mitchell did his best to carry Cleveland across the finish line. He scored all 18 of the team’s points in the fourth quarter, finishing with a game-high 50. Mitchell has scored 50 or more in three postseason games in his career, with Friday’s effort being his first since Game 4 of a 2020 first-round series against the Nuggets (as a member of the Jazz). However, if Cleveland is to defend home court in Game 7 on Sunday, Mitchell will need more help from Evan Mobley (3/7/0/1/5 in 34 minutes), especially if Jarrett Allen (ribs) cannot play.       Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis) shot 7-of-16 from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line in Thursday’s 120-98 loss to the Pacers, scoring 28 points with two rebounds, four assists, and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

      Advice: Initially doubtful for Game 6 after sitting out Game 5, Lillard led the Bucks in scoring while playing 35 minutes. But that doesn’t change that this was a disappointing end to his first season in Milwaukee. While he was not traded until just before the start of training camp, the expectations were high for Lillard regarding fantasy value. Entering the season with a Yahoo ADP of 11.3, he finished as a top 25 player in 8- and 9-cat formats. The Bucks’ lack of continuity, with Khris Middleton being limited to 55 regular season games and Adrian Griffin being fired despite a 30-13 start, certainly impacted Lillard’s value. An entire offseason should help him and his teammates establish better on-court chemistry, but there’s always the possibility of significant changes being made to the roster.
