      Advice: In his first full season with Atlanta in 2023-24, Mathews averaged 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers and 0.6 assists across 15.0 minutes in 66 regular-season games. While he doesn't project to see a major increase in playing time heading into Year 2 in Atlanta, Mathews' perimeter-shooting skills make him a valuable reserve.       According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Hawks have picked up Garrison Mathews’ option for the 2024-25 season.

      Advice: After shooting a career-high 44.0% from three last season, Mathews’ option has been picked up by the Hawks. While Atlanta has added Zaccharie Risacher (draft) and Dyson Daniels (reported trade) this week, Mathews’ 3-point shooting ability will allow him to earn rotation minutes next season.       Minott's $2.02 million contract for the 2024-25 season became fully guaranteed Friday, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports.

      Advice: Minott has logged just 47 appearances with Minnesota through his first two seasons in the professional ranks, but he's posted impressive numbers with the G League's Iowa Wolves and is still viewed as a promising developmental piece for the organization. Though the Timberwolves are keeping him in the fold for the 2024-25 campaign, Minott may not be assured a larger role during the upcoming season. Reserves Kyle Anderson, Monte Morris and Jordan McLaughlin are the lone Timberwolves rotation players from this past season scheduled for free agency, and Minnesota may have already found their replacements in first-round draft picks Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon.       According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets are picking up Jae’Sean Tate’s player option for the 2024-25 season.

      Advice: Tate, who appeared in 65 games last season, will make approximately $7.6 million in 2024-25. The versatile forward averaged 4.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.6 steals in 15.2 minutes, with his production and playing time decreasing due to the arrivals of Dillon Brooks and Amen Thompson.
