It may have mattered more had Jalen Brunson not going 2-of-13 from the field in the first half, and Josh Hart was limited with an abdominal injury. McBride wasn’t as impactful as in Game 5, but the Knicks should be encouraged by his offensive output in Friday’s defeat. They’ll need a similar effort from Deuce in Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.       Advice: Tatum once again led Boston in this round, nearing a triple-double to boost the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum led all Boston players in scoring, assists and steals while hauling in a double-digit rebound mark and coming up one dime shy of a triple-double. Tatum joined Larry Bird as the only Celtics players with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in a playoff game.       Advice: The Celtics may not have blown out the shorthanded Cavaliers as many expected, but the team with the NBA’s best record handled its business to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.       Advice: Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau decided to move McBride into the starting lineup for Game 5, and that shift helped New York regain momentum in the series. Deuce’s presence gave the Knicks another ball-handler to deal with the Pacers’ full-court pressure, and he also helped harass Tyrese Haliburton on the defensive end of the floor. McBride getting 15 shots was a bit surprising, but he took advantage of those opportunities well. Tatum has scored 25 or more points in three of his four games against Cleveland, turning things up a notch over the last two contests while posting at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and five dimes in each game.       Advice: Just like they did in the first round, the Celtics responded after a disappointing Game 2 loss. Tatum scored 33 points for the second straight game to help Boston reclaim homecourt advantage and take a 3-1 lead in this series. He got off to a hot start and scored 16 points in the first quarter to help Boston take an early lead. He was much better in their two road games, but he shouldn’t have any issues keeping this production up as they head home to try and close out the series on Wednesday and return to the Eastern Conference Finals.
