Karl-Anthony Towns records 27/12/1/1/2 line Monday
Karl-Anthony Towns shot 10-of-15 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Mondayâs 106-80 blowout of the Nuggets, tallying 27 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
Advice: Minnesota needed Towns to step up with Rudy Gobert (personal reasons) away from the team, and thatâs what he did. KAT tied for the team lead in points, shooting 66.7% from the field while also grabbing 12 rebounds. Heâs scored 20 points or more in three straight games, and not only was foul trouble not an issue for Towns, but he and the other starters were able to watch the end of Tuesdayâs rout from the bench. Gobert should be available for Fridayâs Game 3, but Minnesota needs Towns to play at this level consistently. Now 6-0 this postseason, the Timberwolves look like a team that can play into June.
