      Advice: Garland struggled badly from the floor and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. However, the speedy point guard salvaged his fantasy performance by delivering decent numbers in other categories. The Cavaliers need Garland to play a more prominent role on offense during the Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against the Celtics, as he averaged only 14.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor in the first round.       Darius Garland shot 10-of-16 from the field in Friday’s 103-96 loss to the Magic, tallying 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: Garland surpassed the 20-point mark for a second consecutive game, again shooting above 50% from the field. However, it’s difficult to win when players not named Garland or Donovan Mitchell combine to score 25 points. Max Strus was the only other Cavalier in double figures, and he scored 10 points while also tallying eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.       Herro ended Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 15 points (6-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes.

      Advice: Herro was forced to embrace a more prominent role on offense due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck) in the series against the Celtics. While the numbers were decent across the board, he struggled badly in terms of efficiency and shooting percentages. Over the five games of the series, Herro made just 38.5 percent of his shots from the field and 34.9 percent of his three-pointers.       Tyler Herro shot 6-of-19 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s Game 5 loss to the Celtics, recording a line of 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

      Advice: Miami was without Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. for Game 5, putting even more pressure on Herro to perform with the team’s season on the line. He struggled, as many guards do when dealing with Jrue Holiday. While he established new career-highs in points (20.8 per game), assists (4.5), and 3-pointers (3.1), injuries limited Herro’s fantasy value. Beginning the season with a Yahoo ADP of 68.9, he finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 90 in 9-cat, per-game value, according to Basketball Monster. If Herro can play 65-plus games, as he did during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, he’s capable of approaching top-60 fantasy value.       Advice: Garland got off to a scorching hot start in this game and scored 17 points in the first quarter to help the Cavs jump out to a 33-23 lead. Unfortunately, he didn’t do much scoring after that. This has been a poor series for Garland, so it was encouraging to see him get off to a strong start, and he ended up having his highest-scoring game of the series.       Advice: Garland has yet to score more than 15 points through four postseason games and has shot only 41.9 percent from the field during that stretch. Following back-to-back losses in Orlando to even the series, Cleveland needs more offensive production out of its point guard if the team is going to advance to the next round.       Advice: Herro had a rough outing Saturday, as he had a tough time when matched up against Jaylen Brown, and he finished the game with more field-goal attempts than points scored. That's not an encouraging performance from a player that needs to steps up offensively, particularly with Jimmy Butler (knee) sidelined. The Head didn’t get much from Caleb Martin, either, as he finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.
