      Advice: The Timberwolves were without Rudy Gobert on Monday, as he was back in Minnesota for the birth of his first child. And it didn’t matter because Denver still had no answer for Edwards. Ant-Man tied for the team lead in scoring, shooting well over 50% from the field. If there was an issue for him, it was the turnovers, with the star guard racking up four, but to cite that would be to split hairs.       Advice: Wembanyama was the clear favorite for this year's Rookie of the Year honors, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.6 blocks in 29.7 minutes per appearance over 71 games during his first NBA campaign. It's also worth noting that the 7-foot-4 center is one of three finalists for the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, which speaks to the monumental impact he had on both ends of the court this season for the Spurs.     • Shocker: Victor Wembanyama wins Rookie of the Year
      Victor Wembanyama has been named the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year.

      Advice: While there was some suspense earlier in the season while Wembanyama was dealing with an ankle injury, the Spurs sensation took the league by storm once healthy and not playing under any restrictions. Wemby became the first player in NBA history to amass at least 1,500 points, 700 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 blocks, and 100 3-pointers. He became the first unanimous winner of the award since Karl-Anthony Towns in 2016, with Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren finishing second. Rounding out the top five were Brandon Miller (Charlotte), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami), and Brandin Podziemski (Golden State). Wembanyama is also the first player from France to win the award.       Advice: Garland struggled badly from the floor and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. However, the speedy point guard salvaged his fantasy performance by delivering decent numbers in other categories. The Cavaliers need Garland to play a more prominent role on offense during the Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against the Celtics, as he averaged only 14.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor in the first round.       Advice: Edwards did it all to lead Minnesota to a Game 1 win on the road, posting a new playoff career high in scoring while leading all players in Saturday's contest in points scored in an offensive showcase. Edwards, who scored 16 points in the first quarter alone and capped the game with 12 points in the final quarter, became the first Timberwolves player to post two consecutive 40-point playoff games.       Advice: Edwards capped off a tremendous first-round sweep of the Suns with 40 points in the closeout Game 4, and he kept the momentum rolling into Game 1 of the Western Conference semis. Ant-Man shot an efficient 17-of-29 from the floor and was everywhere on both sides of the ball. He came up with key play after key play, particularly in the closing minutes when Denver attempted a late comeback after falling behind by double digits. Edwards’ big night on offense broke a tie with Sam Cassell for most 40-point playoff games in Timberwolves history, and the budding superstar has three such contests to his credit.       Advice: The Clippers needed someone to step up with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined in Game 6, and Ivica Zubac did what he could on both ends of the court. He finished the series with three double-doubles in six outings and scored in double digits each time while shooting a robust 60 percent from the field. Zubac isn't flashy and is not one of the most athletic big men in the league, but he gets the job done. He averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 boards per contest during the regular season.       Ivica Zubac logged 37 minutes in Friday’s Game 6 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 17 points (6-of-11 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 11 rebounds, and one assist.

      Advice: After recording double-doubles in the series’ first two games, Zubac did not get another until the finale on Friday. However, he did score in double figures in all six games, providing consistent production in that regard. While Zubac does not rank among the elite fantasy centers, he once again provided solid value in 2023-24. Exceeding his Yahoo ADP (120.2) in 8- and 9-cat formats, Big Zu finished the regular season as a top 100 player in the latter. Regardless of what happens with James Harden and Paul George this summer, Zubac will remain the unquestioned top option at the center position.       Darius Garland shot 10-of-16 from the field in Friday’s 103-96 loss to the Magic, tallying 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: Garland surpassed the 20-point mark for a second consecutive game, again shooting above 50% from the field. However, it’s difficult to win when players not named Garland or Donovan Mitchell combine to score 25 points. Max Strus was the only other Cavalier in double figures, and he scored 10 points while also tallying eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.
